Kohala Coast, Hawaii | Evening | Sunday | February 20

As the sun gave way to the moon, the lights around the Big Island started coming on, brightening up the dark sky. Night falling just meant several new ways for the guests to enjoy themselves! A slight wind ruffled the palm trees but the temperature remained warm, making it comfortable enough to take long walks on the beach or just enjoy gazing up at the clear night sky.

There was still plenty to do, though! Nighttime activities were starting to swing into motion, music was wafting along the breeze, drawing people towards it's rhythmic sounds, and the smells of Hawaiian dishes were prevalent.

It was nighttime in Hawaii and the vacation had just begun!

Auron didn't have oceans the size of Earth's, but Cally had still grown up in a city with a view of the water. Watching this ocean now, out on the lanai at night with a warm, salty breeze in the air, was both familiar and not. Calm and beautiful, though, without question.

Room 617

There was plenty to do and to get accustomed to here in Hawaii, but Alexander figured there'd be plenty of time for that this week. He found that the place he wanted to be tonight was on the balcony of his room, looking up at the stars and....thinking. About a certain raven haired beauty on a chain of green isles of her own. Green isles far, far away from the ones Alexander looked out at now...

Room 513

Momoko had arrived in her room, dumped her luggage on the bed closest to the patio... balcony... lanai... OCEAN! and then grabbed her camera and headed off to explore the hotel and see what the hotel restaurants and shops had to offer. All without having once seen or been told the name of her trip-roommate.

It was late when Momoko got back so she headed straight for the shower and to change into her pyjamas, wondering just when her roommate was going to show up.

Swimming Pool

Percy loved swimming at night. He loved it. It was still too cold back in Fandom so being able to swim under the moon and have it be warm and perfect was something Percy was not missing.

So, he was in there, swimming lazy laps back and forth.

Ender wasn't having the hungriest day of his life. Forgoing the restaurants, he retreated to the lounge and its somewhat smaller fare.

He sank into a seat outside and let his head drop back, staring up at the sky. He was never going to get sick of being able to see it, and it felt like the perfect backdrop tonight for some quiet time. He ordered a few small appetizers off the menu, and settled.

Bod had some sort of fruity concoction in his hand and was just holding onto it while he sat in the outdoor area of the lounge. It was so warm and so nice here that Bod almost wondered if he could just spend the entire trip right in this seat.

That probably wouldn't be productive but he wouldn't deny thinking about it.

Now brightly red from sunburn, Sov thought it advisable to seek out shade. They also had a large, colourful, sweet drink with umbrellas in it. Hopefully it would get cooler towards the evening.

Fruity drinks were, as far as Kennedy was concerned, a necessity on a vacation like this, and she'd managed to score one for herself before heading toward one of the outdoor seating areas and flopping into a lounge chair.

There hadn't been as much light pollution in Westchester County as there was in the city, and some of the schools she'd been to had been in pretty small towns, so seeing the stars wasn't that new to her. But it had occurred to her that if she ended up moving to New York City after graduation, she'd be missing out on sights like this, so, in a rare moment of introspection, she'd decided to enjoy this while she could.

Sand, surf, friends, some down time-- even for someone as restless as her, there was no bad here.

There were many beautiful places in Azeroth, but Anduin didn't know of any that had the same feel as this Hawaii place. Here, he felt even further from home than he felt in Fandom, but somehow, he was content. He had a sweet drink with a little paper thing in it, and was sitting outside simply breathing in the air. The smell of the water had drawn him out here, and he was enjoying the peaceful feeling it gave him to watch the waves.

Leave it to Jane to be working in a place like this. But her excitement buzz had not gone down in the slightest since arriving and she had herself a beautiful spot and a little bit to munch on while she poured over maps and books and brochures of the area, muttering and babbling to herself as she made out her plans for the next few days.

Kahakai Bar Oceanfront

Kahakai means 'beach' in Hawaiian and this beachside bar (http://www.fairmont.com/orchid/GuestServices/Restaurants/KahakaiBar.htm) features a Polynesian-style thatched roof, refreshing trade winds and billion dollar views of Mauna Kea and the blue Pacific. A variety of tropical libations and mouth-watering pupu (appetizers) are served.

After spending the majority of the day on the beach, Kate hadn't really gotten far once the day started turning into evening. She'd gone back to the room just to slip on a light summer dress before heading out again.

Sitting by the bar, she snapped a photo of the view with her phone, then sent it to Zach before settling down again with a bright, non-alcoholic (for now) drink in hand. She figured she'd be here until closing time.

It was that nice, and she had nowhere she needed to be.

Nathan hadn't yet ventured out onto the beach so what better way to start then with a beachfront bar? Dressed in jeans and a light henley, he ordered himself something alcoholic, he took a spot where he could put his feet up and watch the ocean.

It was cliche but whatever. He was from the other side of the fucking ocean, he was even allowed to enjoy this.

Jaina was having an easy, quiet first day, and so she figured going to hang out at the bar for a bit fit in with that. She even got something appropriately tropical to drink, knowing she'd only end up having one, and had no problem sitting around to check out the view.

For now. Later she'd feel like she had to be doing something, but that was later.

After an afternoon on the beach, Bruce decided to have an evening alongside the beach at the bar. He had a shirt on now, of course, and some kind of drink that was served in a coconut that he wasn't actually drinking. The joys of being Bruce Wayne were many and wondrous, clearly. Shirts AND drinks? How awesome.

Having spent most of her day tanning on the beach, Alex decided to stick with that theme and check out what the resort had to offer. After returning to her room to change (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v114/StargateAddict/Alex/Belongings/hawaiidress.jpg), she decided to check out the bar.

Finding a seat, she ordered a colorful, fruity drink (non-alcoholic, of course!) and was trying to figure out what appetizers to try.

Lindsay hadn't actually left her room much during the day because she ended up unexpectedly napping like her player. Since it wasn't too late, she decided to explore the resort a bit more. The bar on the beach was a good start.

Beaches plus bars so totally topped the list of Caroline's favorite things about spring break. Being in Hawaii meant it was only natural she was drinking her booze from hollowed-out fruit and checking out how her new sandals showed off her brand new spa pedicure.

God, this school was awesome.
