Kohala Coast, Hawaii | Evening | Sunday | February 20
As the sun gave way to the moon, the lights around the Big Island started coming on, brightening up the dark sky. Night falling just meant several new ways for the guests to enjoy themselves! A slight wind ruffled the palm trees but the temperature remained warm, making it comfortable enough to take long walks on the beach or just enjoy gazing up at the clear night sky.
There was still plenty to do, though! Nighttime activities were starting to swing into motion, music was wafting along the breeze, drawing people towards it's rhythmic sounds, and the smells of Hawaiian dishes were prevalent.
It was nighttime in Hawaii and the vacation had just begun!

Room 603
Room 617
Room 513
It was late when Momoko got back so she headed straight for the shower and to change into her pyjamas, wondering just when her roommate was going to show up.
Re: Room 513
Huh. A lot of that stuff strewn about looked kind of familiar. Maybe he knew his roommate already? That'd be pretty cool.
"Hello," he called, hearing someone moving around in the bathroom. "Roommate here!"
Re: Room 513
Re: Room 513
"No rush!" he called back. "Which bed is mine?"
Re: Room 513
She pulled her pyjama top on and grabbed a towel, rubbing her hair, head down, as she walked into the room. "If you don't mind, that is? I like being able to see the ocean."
Re: Room 513
It was Momoko.
Re: Room 513
Re: Room 513
He... She... pyjamas...
Momoko.
Re: Room 513
Her eyes widened and she jumped back a step. "Ah?! YOU'RE MY ROOMMATE!" Which probably sounded way worse that it should since they were be BFFs and all, but really? Really?!
Re: Room 513
Wow... was that his voice? Since when did Jaime sound all... squeaky?
Re: Room 513
Momoko made her way to her bed, ducking her head again as she applied the towel some more, totally thankful for the way it hid her face. "Uhm. Wow. This is... totally awesome! Now I won't have to track you down every day. Ah! I mean, sometimes. Not that you have to keep me company the whole trip. I don't make my roommates do that. I don't ignore them, but usually they have their own idea of fun, you know? But I do want to at least spend some time with you while we're here, so it's nice that you're here and we can at least be together a little while."
Nervous babble, let her show you it.
Re: Room 513
Oh!
"Um... yeah. Awesome!" Didn't he sound excited? And not... incredibly nervous? He'd brought a pair of loose shorts to sleep in, but he'd honestly been expecting a guy for a roommate, and... did he have a shirt he could sleep in?
He did, right?
(He'd check, but Momoko would probably ask why he was frantically digging through his bag.)
Re: Room 513
"Oh! Presents!" Hopefully her voice didn't sound too relieved at the distraction. Momoko lifted two boxes and handed them to Jaime. "I bought these for you!"
Re: Room 513
What was the occasion? Oh crap! Was he supposed to have gotten her something, too!
Re: Room 513
She'd be breathing normally and stop babbling ANY time now. Really.
Re: Room 513
That probably should have sounded grateful and not... pole-axed. Momoko was his roommate? For a week?
Re: Room 513
Momoko nodded and went back to her side of the room to stare again at the luggage covering her bed. She started to pull out the clothes, keeping them tight to her as she moved between the bed and the dresser. "Uhm. So, did you just arrive? I was out exploring all day, just getting an idea of what's where before heading out tomorrow for the beach and some local sights. I got an awesome list of local places to visit from the busboy at the hotel restaurant."
She dumped the clothes into a drawer; she'd sort them later, but for now she wanted her bed cleared so she could climb in and cover her head.
Re: Room 513
"Then I did a little bit of exploring before coming up here."
Blink, Jaime. Blink! Also, don't just stand there!
Re: Room 513
Was he watching her?!
"How's Mila-chan doing in her classes?"
Re: Room 513
Oh crap! Her underwear had to be in there somewhere!
Gulp.
Wait, she'd asked a question. That made an excellent distraction! (Thanks, Momoko.)
"Oh, yeah, everyone's good. Milagro even managed not to be bratty for nearly thirty minutes." He smiled fondly despite his words. "And I think she's really frustrated with math, but managing things okay?" He... felt kinda guilty not being there to help her, too.
Re: Room 513
if he'd been counting strings."I'm glad everyone's okay and that you got a chance to see them. Math? Ugh. I'd offer to help, but you totally know me and math." Last pile (yes, she'd brought that much) dropped into the drawers, she nudged the drawer shut, turning to face him. He was watching her. She took a breath. "Hi."
Re: Room 513
Jaime managed to get himself under control enough to offer Momoko a slow, warm smile. "Hi."
