Kohala Coast, Hawaii | Evening | Sunday | February 20

As the sun gave way to the moon, the lights around the Big Island started coming on, brightening up the dark sky. Night falling just meant several new ways for the guests to enjoy themselves! A slight wind ruffled the palm trees but the temperature remained warm, making it comfortable enough to take long walks on the beach or just enjoy gazing up at the clear night sky.

There was still plenty to do, though! Nighttime activities were starting to swing into motion, music was wafting along the breeze, drawing people towards it's rhythmic sounds, and the smells of Hawaiian dishes were prevalent.

It was nighttime in Hawaii and the vacation had just begun!

"Deal, even though I think you should focus your frowning on others. I know what I'm doing," Jason said. "You don't have to frown at me for anything."

"Who am I supposed to be frowning at then?" he asked. He looked around. "Are there other people here than need it?" Bobby did turn the frown back on Jason though. "Everyone says they know what they're doing right before they screw up a lot."

Jason took a look around, but no one seemed to be having trouble with their drinking. "I don't think you have to frown at anyone tonight," he said. "And I'm not about to screw up. We just got here."

"Okay, deal," Bobby said, finally smiling. "It's kind of awesome here, huh? I thought the beach might be a little boring but it's not!"

"I can't imagine a beach ever being boring," Jason said. "They're warm and sandy and there's an ocean and, if you're there at the right time, there's a lot of people to watch. What's not to like?"

"People watching sounds boring?" he admitted. "But it's okay, I brought a bunch of books."

"People watching is fun if you do it right," Jason said, managing not to shake his head and sigh. "Are you gonna sit out on the beach and read, at least?"

"Oh yeah, but I brought sunscreen," Bobby told him. It was very, very possible that the books would be less interesting once he started watching the girls in all what little they wore. "And there's a lot of cultural expeditions, I think. I went to Mo'okini Heiau today!"

Jason tried not to laugh at Bobby being scholastic even on vacation, but it was really hard. "Did you learn things?" he asked. "It sounds like a place to go to learn stuff."

"Yes! It's one of Hawaii's most sacred sites. You're not even supposed to walk on the stones there cause of all the spiritual energy they believe it has," Bobby explained enthusiastically. "Back a long time ago, they used to have human sacrifice there, but not anymore."

"I'm gonna hope no one does human sacrifices here anymore. I don't think as many people would come to Hawaii on vacation if they did," Jason teased.

"Unless it was a big secret," Bobby pondered. "No one might ever suspect."

"You'd love to uncover something like that, wouldn't you?" Jason teased, like he wouldn't love the same thing. "Secret sacrifices done under the cover of night by wild natives, or something."
