Kohala Coast, Hawaii | Evening | Sunday | February 20

As the sun gave way to the moon, the lights around the Big Island started coming on, brightening up the dark sky. Night falling just meant several new ways for the guests to enjoy themselves! A slight wind ruffled the palm trees but the temperature remained warm, making it comfortable enough to take long walks on the beach or just enjoy gazing up at the clear night sky.

There was still plenty to do, though! Nighttime activities were starting to swing into motion, music was wafting along the breeze, drawing people towards it's rhythmic sounds, and the smells of Hawaiian dishes were prevalent.

It was nighttime in Hawaii and the vacation had just begun!

[OCD is up! Guest Quarters | Resort Activities | Dining | Luana Lounge | Kahakai Bar Oceanfront | OOC This is going up early for maximum play time for all timezones!]

He flicked another monkey at her.

"You're shorter," he muttered.

"Your face is shorter," she said, trying to dodge. Pity she wasn't sure which of the monkeys was the real one.

Well, the way he was scrunching it up certainly didn't help. "Your eyesight's going," he declared. "No more drinks for you."

"No, I'm reasonably certain your face is shorter," she protested. "We can measure if you don't believe me!"

"With what?" Ben asked.

This was going to end in disaster.

"I think it would be fun to know the length of your face in plastic monkeys," Karla decided.

"Oooh!" Ben said, mood shifting immediately. "Okay!"

This couldn't possibly end poorly! Not at all.

"Bring yer 'head over here," Karla said, since Ben had thrown most of his plastic monkeys at her and she had his gaily festooned drink (heh, heh, gaily) at hand.

Ben obligingly laid his head down on the table.

It was comfortable there, and only a little sticky.

And Karla fished around her seat for plastic monkeys. Neither of them seemed overly concerned that the monkeys ended in points and she'd be bringing them near his eyes.

Ben lived a dangerous life.

"Here," she said, putting the first one along his jaw. It smelled strongly of maraschino cherries and was also sticky. "Which one should go next? Yellow or green."

The color was important.

"Green," Ben decided, remembering just in time not to nod his head and move (or not, given the stickiness) the first monkey.

With the deliberate carefulness of someone just drunk enough to think they can fool everyone into thinking they were still Totally Sober, Karla laid the green monkey down on Ben's face, head-to-head with the purple monkey already there.

"Now I need a blue one," she decided, glancing about. "...I don't have a blue one."

She could always just use the yellow one she had?

"I'm going to the bar to see what other colors they have." And maybe to get more drinks!

"I'm gonna stay here," Ben said.

Hopefully not forever.

He'd have to get his head unstuck sometime, wouldn't he?

Though it was a considerable amount of time before she came back, though in her defense, she was carrying two more drinks and an entire pile of plastic animals. "Look, Ben!" she said, holding one up. "They have plastic porcupines!"

...Never mind that his face was kind of stuck where it was. He could roll his eyes towards her.

"In fact, I brought you a drink," Karla said, holding it out and shaking it to attract Ben's attention. And thus spilling some over the side. "But I can just drink it instead if you're going to be a brat."
