Luke, sadly for those who were not, was totally a morning person. As soon as the sun rose above the horizon, he was up, trying to get everyone ready for another day of hut building and bridge hanging.

There was breakfast and really awful strong coffee, and then the hike back to where they'd been working all of yesterday.

Luke would understand if people took breaks to explore today. Three solid days of manual labor is no vacation.

Luke was up one of the giant trees using the Force to hold a hanging bridge steady for a couple of Ewoks to hammer it into place.

Peyton was pretty sure Master Skywalker wouldn't be too happy with her skipping out on work since she was mostly here in lieu of detention. One of them at least. So, she was working away with as much good will as she could muster.

Feeling better than yesterday since she had a really good distraction, Jaina had no problem getting to work today. She was even using the Force as little as possible, mostly because sometimes it was good to get your hands dirty.

Gavin spent some time teasing one of the Ewoks by putting pieces in the wrong places and then taking them down only to put them in a different place.

The Ewok got a little huffy and glared and all Gavin could do was laugh. He eventually put the piece in the right place before the process started all over again.

All the leftover tension and depression Lee had been carrying for months seemed to be melting away as he worked. He figured they weren't gone for good but this was a really good distraction.

As much as Meg would love to go exploring about, she was pretty sure it would send her already slightly nervous agents (Hello, different planet anyone?) into conniptions. So she was working. Just a slightly slower pace then might be expected.

In between working on some of the various huts, Indiana was checking out some of the craftmanship of the Ewoks and how the little Teddy Bears interacted with each other.

Penelope was looking at the Ewoks. A lot. But she was also working, and the harder she worked, the better the kinks in her muscles worked themselves out. She was thinking a lot about the story Ino told her and that only proved to encourage her. So did the sandals she lent her.

Ino was humming brightly, mostly nonsense it had to be admitted, while following the Ewok that was showing her where to put supplies.

Lucky for her, the Ewok didn't seem to mind the noise as she worked.

Anemone decided to help today by being the fetch-and-carry girl, constantly re-supplying the builders with lumber, tools, and coffee.

Turtle's level of assistance in building was a little low due to ability, but no one could fault the girl for lack of trying.

Minsc was always happy to help, and he certainly had the capacity for it, building the huts with extreme ease thanks to his mass and strength.

...Although, of course, sometimes the mass and strength were just a bit too much and his gusto was just a bit too overzealous, so it got to a point where Minsc was building the same hut several times over.

This particular one was on its fifth round. But the fifth time was a cha--

He winced as he hammered something in a bit too hard and the whole thing came crashing down.

Sixth! Sixth time was a charm!

Tahiri was working on getting some ladders and railings installed on a few of the newly built huts, as well as getting a few more support beams in place as they dictated, levitating the pieces into place with the Force for her two Ewok helpers, who'd then scramble over with their tools. (As cute as they looked, Tahiri still wasn't about to do anything that got her on the receiving end of their hammers.) It wasn't showing off, although it certainly might have looked that way; she'd been uncomfortably self-conscious lately about her lack of practice, and why not get in the practice now while contributing to a good cause?

She just wished she could look as casual and effortless about holding up a ladder as Luke seemed to look about holding up a bridge.

The thing was, Lacey had spent all afternoon yesterday putting together sample books and color swatches from the local flora, and was now rather eager to show off her handiwork, maybe get a few opinions from the residents-to-be so she could get started on the interior decorating. The problem, on the other hand, was successfully flagging down passing Ewoks long enough to solicit a useful opinion.

. . . yes, this was related to the problem of Lacey not speaking Ewok.

Ever seen a grown human woman get spun around like a windsock in a hurricane by passing furry foot traffic about knee-high? It's comedy gold.

Hurley found that it was actually pretty ingenious how the Ewoks built their villages. With their help and expertise (well, as much as he could gather from their gestures) he was going to put in a solid day of hard work.

Billy tied two lengths of rope around his waist, then grabbed hold of a hanging vine. After swinging across to another platform, he untied the ropes for the Ewoks to tie off for the bridge.

Today Tully was putting his practical restoration experience to good use. A few Ewoks looked over the tools he'd brought with interest. It was actually the simple ones that interested them the most.

Ender found he liked the simple, practical work, much like he'd enjoyed helping during the summer. After a while of shifting logs and dealing with knotted rope, he took a break, strolling out into the forest with a watchful eye.

He liked the work, but the idea of exploration appealed to him, too, although he was back pretty quickly afterwards. He'd have to ask Ben about this place when he got back.

Build huts...somewhere else! Yes!

By which we mean go exploring. You won't find a working AT-ST, but there are speeder bikes that'll take you away from the village. If you get lost, Luke will laugh at you.

Ronon was far too comfortable out in the rustic setting. As he trekked through the forest, he half expected to find a clearing with the familiar shapes of a DHD and a Stargate.

Once work was done, Turtle, who hadn't expended herself all that physically, was a blur of mental activity. She was sitting aside, enjoying the atmosphere of the place, and making a lot of notes and charts and graphs in a spiral notebook, of all the ideas she had during the day regarding the culture and potential economic venues.
