By which we mean go exploring. You won't find a working AT-ST, but there are speeder bikes that'll take you away from the village. If you get lost, Luke will laugh at you.

Ronon was far too comfortable out in the rustic setting. As he trekked through the forest, he half expected to find a clearing with the familiar shapes of a DHD and a Stargate.

Elsewhere was looking better all the time. As were the speeder bikes that John was seriously considering for a spin.

"I'll race you," Gavin said, coming up behind him.

A normal person would have scoffed at the idea of a high speed race through narrow trees and thick brush. "You sure you're up for it? I had one of these for a while there in Fandom."

Did John forget where Gavin had grown up? Oh, poor John. So going to lose.

"I think I'm good," he said with a smirk. "I can ride a bike and all. How hard could these be?"

"Right, besides, didn't we do this in class once? Minus the trees." John couldn't believe how long ago that class seemed.

"Think so," Gavin said. "And flight club and all."

And the times he'd been one things like this back home.

"Nice, easy race, right?"

Wrong.

"Of course, it'll be like a little bit of high speed relaxation," John decided.

"And we could both use that," Gavin said. "Been a tough week."

Seriously.

"I'll say," John replied, eyes going a little wide for a second and climbing on one of the hovering speeders.

Gavin hopped onto his own speeder, turning it on and revving it just for a minute to make sure it was functioning.

"It's a nice sound there," John commented, getting his own going and realizing perhaps belatedly that this was not going to end well.

Tyler was going to help build, but it was crucial he test a speeder bike first. He had to make sure they were safe for students, after all.

He didn't get lost. All the trees looked similar, but he was just ... exploring.

Speeder bikes. Anemone looked at the bikes, back at the other students working, then at the bikes again.

Totally time for a break.

Billy had a similar thought, looking over the controls of a bike. "You know I think Robin's gonna be really unhappy he missed this trip."

Anemone looked over and gave him a crooked grin. "Hey stranger," she drawled, wriggling her fingers in greeting. "They let you big kids come out and play with us too?"

"Well I slouched and tried to pitch my voice higher, so they might have thought I was a little kid."

"Add a bow and a pretty dress, and you'd be positively undercover," Anemone deadpanned. "So, how does it feel to go to a school where you don't have to live in fear of gremlin bites?"

"Well I've traded it for having to lie about who I am so my father doesn't find me and try to kill me again, so, not bad. Plus I still get the weirdness apparently."

"We'll kill him next time," Anemone replied cheerfully. "He'll think we won't, because of last time, but he so deserves it."

Billy did not disagree. Part of him even wanted to do it. But he wasn't cheerful about it. "In the meantime I got a skunk for Christmas."

There were woods. There was an adorable, sentient and civilized species nearby. There had to be new and exciting things to hunt and track, right?

Right!

And if not, well, Minsc was going to have one hell of a good time out exploring the terrain with Boo and taking mental notes on everything he saw.

When Ender took his break, he didn't take a speeder. He used his feet instead, getting himself a lay of the local land. He paid no attention to whether or not he was making noise-- not this close to the village-- but rather kept his eyes peeled. It was interesting, and he wasn't bored.

Arya opted for walking instead of using the speeder bike. She was much more comfortable that way and happened to enjoy her trek that much more.
