Endor [Tuesday, December 30]

Luke, sadly for those who were not, was totally a morning person. As soon as the sun rose above the horizon, he was up, trying to get everyone ready for another day of hut building and bridge hanging.

There was breakfast and really ~~awful~~ strong coffee, and then the hike back to where they'd been working all of yesterday.

Luke would understand if people took breaks to explore today. Three solid days of manual labor is no vacation.

John pulled up next to him, finding the grinning infectious after that invigorating ride. "Dude, I could do that again!"

"You and me both," he said, hopping off the bike. "Just imagine if there weren't so many trees and we could hit full speed."

"That would be freaking amazing," John enthused, getting over the whole losing thing. "I think we need to smuggle these babies back home."

"Think Luke and the Ewoks would notice?" Gavin asked.

"Nah, they're too busy," John decided.

"Hmm." It was sad that Gavin was thinking about this. "You don't think us lugging bikes back might be obvious?"

"We might need a really good distraction," John said thoughtfully. "If only Ben was here to help."

"Know any other Jedi that might help us?" Gavin asked.

"Hmm. We don't really need Jedi so much as people to cause a scene," John reasoned. "Did any other KKG guys come along?"

"Hm." Gavin tried to remember who he'd seen. "I think that kid Adam's here. There's a lot of girls."

"Yeah, you'd think more single guys would've noticed the massive number of girls signing up." John would have been all over those odds a year or so ago.

"Maybe we can shave one of the Ewoks," Gavin said. "Shave...Brooke's name into and blame her?"

"We could cover it with her clothes," John suggested. "She wouldn't miss them."

"Wasn't she naked on the internet just a few days ago or something?"

Not that he'd looked...really.

"Oh god, don't tell me you looked," John ewwed.

"Well, it was right there!" Gavin said. "Shut up!"

"Dude! She looks like Jaina!" John was beyond horrified.

"Look, it was right there and I was surfing!" Gavin said. "I couldn't avoid it!"

"You should have closed the window faster!" John complained, reaching out to shove at Gavin.

"Don't shove me!" Gavin said and shoved John back.

"You deserve to be shoved," John retorted, shoving again.

"You deserved to shut up!" Gavin said and stomped on John's foot.

"Ow!" John took a wild swing at Gavin with his fist.

Gavin took that fist on the chin and immediately retaliated with a punch aimed towards John's gut.

Up until he got a fist in the gut, John had felt very healed from his trip, but now he was doubled over and throwing a hand out to smack at Gavin.
