The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

[OOC: The Princess Bridge Cam is fantastic. Cabins Post | Star Deck | Sun Deck | Promenade Deck | Cays Cruise | Snorkeling | Beach]

Amazed, Penelope was enthralled by the beautiful ocean life, standing and staring with wide eyes at the fish that would swim past under her feet. She just might take this guided tour twice.

"There are a lot of fish," Ned said, glancing over at Penelope. "I've only really seen goldfish up close."

Ned decided to go for something a little less...fast paced so he was peering down through the bottom of the boat with rapt fascination and some nervousness.

Sharks, you know. Stupid movies.

"Hey, Ned," Claire said from under her enormous hat. "So what do you think those really big fish eat?"

They'd had glass-bottom boat cruises in Hawaii, and during the time Katchoo had spent there with Emma they'd talked a lot about going on one and never had. So now here she was, tucked into a corner of the boat with her hands clasped and her elbows resting on her knees, staring down into the water quietly.

She wasn't glaring or rolling her eyes, and she wasn't grumbling at people or about them.

Just there, quiet and thoughtful, staring down into the water.

Claire leaned toward Katchoo, watching her watch the water. "This is just insanely gorgeous," she said, tone uncharacteristically full of awe.

The glass bottom boat was definitely more Joan's speed than snorkling.

She watched the sea life with a sense of wonderment.

Marco had too many experiences with being chased while in water, so he had chosen to go on the boat as well. "What are the chances of us recreating that movie with the shark?" He asked as he sat down next to Joan.

She wandered idly, sometimes with the guide, and sometimes on her own, stopping now and again to stare at the fish with big eyes.

Viki had done, and seen, many things, but being under the ocean, and having such a view was new to her.

Ghanima wasn't quite comfortable enough with so much water to try swimming or snorkeling, but this was fascinating.

Every so often she would reach down to touch the bottom of the boat, smiling delightedly. It was one thing to have the image/concept of 'fish' in the Other Memory; it was something else entirely to actually see them for herself.

Biff was trying unsuccessfully not to look completely freaked out. Peter had been the fisherman, not him. "Fish are for eating," he said. "Not making friends with."

Temari peered down into the water with a sort of fascination that almost made her look like a child. All her trips to the Water country were missions and there was hardly time to just see what was beneath the water.

Jamie was looking at Temari with a good deal of amusement.

"Remind me to take you to an aquarium some time," he chuckled.

Annja wasn't quite up for the whole snorkeling thing, but the idea of the glass bottom boat tour sounded much too nice to pass up. She found that watching the underwater life was really relaxing and she thought she'd talk to Adam about getting an aquarium for their room when they got back to school.

K-Mart couldn't help but stare at the fish and everything else. So this was what stuff had been like before!

Temporarily free from her seasickness, Claire ventured onto the glass-bottomed boats. Her tankini was hidden by an oversized t-shirt, and a huge straw hat topped her head.

Pale redheads from L.A. learned to take the risk of sunburn seriously almost at birth.

But even that, like the seasickness, was forgotten once the boat got moving. Claire crouched to peer at the fish and sea creatures, wishing she'd remember her camera.

Astonishing. All the little fish and creatures, just on the other side of the glass.

Alice was quite hopeful that it was sturdy glass, and that none of the fish would try to eat it.

Harper was suitably dressed for the tropics in a pineapple print t-shirt, yellow shorts, and her hair pulled up in pigtails with big yellow scrunchies.

Despite this, she could not get over the bright, vivid colors of the underwater world.
