The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

[OOC: The Princess Bridge Cam is fantastic. Cabins Post | Star Deck | Sun Deck | Promenade Deck | Cays Cruise | Snorkeling | Beach]

"I haven't seen a shark yet but they can't bite through glass, can they?" he asked. "Rare or not, that still means they happen. And my luck's bad enough to attract that sort of thing."

Claire gave him a look. "They wouldn't let us come out in these if we were just going to be shark bait," she said, trying to sound more confident than she felt.

"Hopefully," he felt inclined to add. "I wonder if there are shark tamers around here."

Way to be optimistic, Ned.

"Like lion tamers?" Claire asked doubtfully. "That would be kinda cool, if the shark just jumped through hoops...."

And didn't eat anybody.

"Well, I mean, did you ever expect anyone to tame a lion?" Ned asked. "Why not a shark?"

Claire had to think about that a moment. "... actually that's a really good question," she conceded. "And everybody would just be crazy impressed to see a shark do tricks."

"Exactly!" Ned said, nodding. "And they can make dolphins do stuff, right? I mean, I've seen that on television. Jumping through hoops and dancing on top of the water. Sharks are just dolphins with sharp teeth."

No, they weren't.

[Heading home!]

Claire didn't think that was exactly how it worked, but ... "That's exactly what you should do after graduating," she informed him. "World-famous shark trainer."

[OOC: BYE!]

"...I don't know if I could stand be around sharks just to watch them let alone tame them," he said. "The teeth and all."
