The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

"It's no big deal," Hurley said. "I mean, kinda come from a house where my mom had to rely on help from my grandpa to support me and Diego. But I try not to... make a thing out of it, most of the time."

"Mmmm." Claire said. He'd mentioned it enough that she noticed, but that wasn't such a big deal. "It must be hard with so many crazy rich people here."

She didn't include herself in that group, but, she thought guiltily, her family owned a successful business and she'd never needed to worry about money.

Hurley shook his head. "Nah, they're mostly jerks, as far as I can tell." He smiled. "So they don't make me feel bad."

"I never thought about that," Hurley said, face scrunching in thought. "I mean, I guess I never thought of her as rich."

Claire opened her mouth to say something before, for once, thinking better of it. But blue blood? Heiress? Big old code words for rich in her book.

"Then it doesn't matter," she said instead. "I'm glad you guys both got to come on this cruise."
