Singita Boulders Lodge, South Africa, Monday [Morning and Early Afternoon]

The sun rose over the lodge in a stunning display of colors though without the musical accompaniment at way too early in the morning, but everyone was up anyway, right? It was time for the very first game drive around the park, and an early start was necessary to see the animals at the watering holes.

Fortunately in a lodge this nice, coffee was provided.

Good morning, Fandom! It's only 63 degrees (or 17, if you're a local) as you wake up, so bring a jacket along with your hat, camera, water and binoculars (and all the sunscreen--trust us) on the drive, but it'll warm up to a comfortable 79 (or26) by midafternoon. Ready to see some lions?

Mitchell had had to book a trip down from Barry Island to get here-- which meant he hadn't arrived until relatively late last night. He'd acquired his suite key and snuck into Bo's room, where he'd promptly collapsed on the bed.

Where he still was that morning, snoring gently.

You bet Kenzi packed a bathing suit. And sunglasses. And a floaty chair with a blow-up palm-tree on it.

Oh, look, a Solo kid working out in the gym on break. What a surprise.

No, Anakin wasn't going to spend his entire break here, but he would be making good use of the facilities.

Tyrion had slept past the start of the game drive -- a fact he regretted only mildly once he found the library. The selection wasn't huge, but that was compensated for by how many of these books were new to him.

By the time he left South Africa, he might even have a handle on the history of the place if he kept reading at this rate -- though it was less clear whether he'd actually go outside.

Billy couldn't resist the siren call of his e-mail, but he also couldn't resist looking to see if the library had any books in Hebrew. All those years of training for his Bar Mitzvah had to be good for something, right?

Atton had completely been planning to get up and go on the game drive. Really. Honest. Why wouldn't you--

Okay, Atton was of the opinion that if he wanted to see wild animals he might as well go back to his universe and hang out in Taris's Undercity until something bit him. Instead, he was going to make the most of this terrible thing where he was hanging out in a warm resort for free by lounging around in the pool area drinking all day.

Not even necessarily things that had alcohol in them.

After his night in the bar with Cade, there was no way Jim was getting his happy ass out of bed early to go see animals frolic. He'd leave that to his insane roommate.

Instead, he slept in, slept off any hangover and had wandered down to pool in his swim trunks and sunglasses. He settled himself in a seat, stretched his legs out and immediately ordered a drink.

Hey, the stuff was good here and he was going to take advantage for as long as he could.

Jackson found himself here because why not? He had the money, maybe he'd buy trinkets.

But, picking up a necklace to examine, it took him a few seconds of wondering about its suitability for someone with strawberry blonde hair to realize he no longer had anyone to buy it for.

And it was a weird feeling, which he was not going to dwell on. He put the necklace away again, and glanced around for something else.

Kaidan had missed action.

And okay, the game drive was not exactly the same as going out fighting the good fight, but at least it kept him occupied - he'd been spending a lot of time stewing in his own feelings recently. After a while, it...

Well, he was going to spend this time peering out of the jeep, trying to get a feel for the place-- putting his focus into spotting whatever he could.

Okay, it was really early, but...

"Oooh, zebras!"

Yeah, Karolina was loving this.
