It was a sunny, perfect day today. You might not even need your trapper hats! As a bonus, the school had rented a double-decker Hop On Hop Off bus so you could accidentally leave them there! Do not throw them from the bus. People would yell at you in French and English.

Rise and shine, Fandom! Or hide in your ridiculous rooms throughout the castle! Anakin doesn't care enough to find you all.

Arden had sent out a text telling everybody about a nature adventure park that she'd heard about, one that featured an aerial course that ended in a whole ziptour made up of seven different 'mega-ziplines' that they could use to sight see!

Might this be pushing her stamina a bit? Yeah, probably. Was she gonna do it anyway?

Abso-fucking-lutely.

"Mega ziplines?" she beamed at Arden. "You find the best stuff!"

Arden grinned. "This was just luck! I was checking out what to do, then saw a thing about the falls, which looked neat, and they mentioned zip lining, and then I just followed the path to here!"

"Awesome!" Charlie said. "I can't wait to go flying all over the countryside."

Charlie pretty much couldn't wait to feel the wind in her hair and know she was ridiculously high up and moving at a high rate of speed at any time.

Nature and adventure and parks?? Say less. Graham was thrilled to see the text and set that as his main plans for the day, because that was going to be so much fun and was guaranteed to have all his favorite people there, too!

"Do you think there's time to do all of them?" Graham couldn't help but wonder, when he realized that the toughest part of all this was going to be just deciding what to do while he was here!

"I hope so!" Arden said, giving Graham an I've-got-a-secret smile. "We're really gonna wanna work up an appetite, I think. I found a perfect place to go for a late lunch. If we're hungry enough, I mean."

Yeah like that was gonna be a problem with both Graham and Cal around, never mind everybody else.

To that, Graham immediately let out a scoff, rolling his eyes a little and fixing Arden with an overly skeptical sort of look. "If we're hungry enough!" he said. "If there's ever a time when I'm not hungry enough, then there's seriously a problem!"

He was still sort of a growing guy, Arden! And he had those muscles finally coming in (slowly but surely!) to worry about now, too!

"But what's the place?" His teasing skepticism shifted almost seamlessly into more excitement. "Or is it better off being a surprise? I do love surprises! Especially when they're food-related!"

"That's the spirit!" Graham agreed with a laugh, not at all surprised to hear it coming from Charlie. "We should definitely figure out which ones are the best ones, though, so we make sure we managed to get those ones in no matter what!"

"Because I have been initiated into the Illumin-aunties," Kamala said wiggling her fingers like she was casting a spell and making her voice swell dramatically. "I know all. I see all."

Ziplines and that sort of thing weren't really in Eleanor's wheelhouse, or even something she felt she'd enjoy that much, but if Arden had sent out a text about it, there was a good chance that was where all her friends would be, so even if she ended up just sort of enjoying something else while there, she would still be there and not just being mildly bored on a bus or something with a bunch of teachers or other students she didn't know as well.

It was kind of fun seeing everyone else enjoy that kind of stuff, too, though. Or really just to feel like a part of something.

"You know," she said, glancing at the zipline, "we could skip the whole screaming-while-falling thing and find a quiet corner and just watch people. Then we could rate everyone's terrified faces on a scale from one to hilarious."

"Only if you promise," said Eleanor, with a warm, easy grin right back at Kamala, "to try and capture some of those terrified faces in a drawing or two."

But her head tilted a little with a curious concern, mostly guiltily, just in case Kamala did want to participate and she was mostly just skipping out because Eleanor was likely going to. "Are you sure you don't want in on some of that screaming-while-falling action yourself, though?"

She'd noticed that Eleanor wasn't really doing the Zipline thing, and wanted to make sure to include more Ellie-friendly activities.

Cal didn't need a text since he and Arden were sharing a room, which he was totally fine about, thanks. Maybe the ziplines would distract him from the memory of bed-sharing?

"So. How's it going Cal? Did you sleep well? Because you look so well rested," Kamala said with a giant smirk on her face.

Normally, Liliana would swan right past a church, probably with a sniff of derision as she did. However, this church happened to have a crypt. A 'notable' and 'historic' crypt. A crypt with nine hundred tombs in it.

"And this is why I adore you, my darling," Liliana said, resting her head on his shoulder briefly as they walked. "Most anybody else would be trying to insist that I not do, oh, any of the things I'm generally inclined to do in crypts."

Instead here he was, strolling along with her, as if wandering through crypts were a common choice for a romantic walk with one's paramour. While offering teasing suggestions for when she might indulge herself in a bit of necromantic activity.

Nine hundred crypts.

"An excellent source of rich black mana, too. There's plenty of white and blue above, with a few splashes of green, but red and black have been sorely lacking."

She was just going to luxuriate in that feeling as much as she'd been luxuriating in their hotel earlier.
