Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, Québec City, Québec [Monday, October 20, 2024 ]
It was a sunny, perfect day today. You might not even need your trapper hats! As a bonus, the school had rented a double-decker Hop On Hop Off bus so you could accidentally leave them there! Do not throw them from the bus. People would yell at you in French and English.
Rise and shine, Fandom! Or hide in your ridiculous rooms throughout the castle! Anakin doesn't care enough to find you all.

Re: Arbraska Chauveau
Not even one time, and certainly not mildly obsessing over it!
"So, you ready to check out the river and stuff by air?" she asked with completely normal amounts of enthusiasm.
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
"I imagine I'm somehow less excited than you are, but I'm definitely glad you found this place. Hopefully you'll get some sensations of flying out of this."
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
At some point their fingers had gotten tangled together. When had that happened?
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
"I mean, you don't have to?" she said, though she wasn't sure why someone wouldn't want to.
Okay, unsure why Cal wouldn't want to, since some people might wanna just go to places as, like, some kind of date thing or whatever and clearly that wasn't anything Cal would be interested in or thinking about.
"But it's nice, getting to share cool stuff with the group. It's a great way to bond."
Maybe he could casually bring it up with Graham and see what answer he gave!
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
"Well, there's stuff that's fun to share with everyone, like ziplines or amazing food, but then there are also things that maybe only one or two people might like." Because I'd like to find something we can do just the two of us seemed like a weird thing to say.
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
"That's true," Arden said, wishing there were something for two people that Cal would want to do with her. And pushing that thought away. Clearly her crush had flared up again while he'd been taking care of her and she needed to stomp it out again before it got out of hand. "Have you spotted anything you're interested in doing? Like, with the group or separately?"
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
"Sure!" she said, in what was practically a yell. She winced and tried to dial it back some.
He was just, you know. Asking as friends. He didn't know everybody as well as she did and they probably could be a little overwhelming. And he was pretty scrupulously honest. He might've realized he owed her a dinner and just wanted to make up for it!
So keep your shit together for the love of the goddess, Finch, and be cool.
"That sounds like it would be a lot of fun," she said, squeezing his fingers since they were still somehow tangled with his. In a platonic way. "Any particular day? Or just when one of us finds something?"
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
While inwardly trying not to freak out. This was a friend thing, Arden, nothing more.
"I'm pretty sure I've got tomorrow night open," she added, once she was sure she wasn't going to squeak it. "We'll find somewhere good in the afternoon and hit it up for dinner. Sounds like a plan."
One benefit of sharing a room with Cal; she wouldn't be able to run back to the room and unnecessarily fret about what she was wearing for several hours.
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
"Great. That sounds like a plan," he said, brightening. "I'm gonna go... scope out the ziplines to check them. I'm sure they're safe, but extra eyes can't hurt, right?"
Re: Arbraska Chauveau
While Arden herself was just gonna go compose herself over here.
They were both doing a very good job.
