Hotel in Alexandria: New Year's Eve

The hotel was dressed up to the nines to welcome in the new year. From the ball room to the formal garden overlooking the ocean, everywhere was awash in new year's celebrations.

There was plenty of room to party, and plenty of rooms for when the partying was done. Add that to the open bar, and it might be one heck of an interesting night.

Tori had received the invitation and was only too happy to attend the party. Naomi had gotten back to Fandom in time to attend the New Year's Eve party so she was there and looking forward to having a good time.

This had to be a vast improvement over the last New Year's ball she'd attended, since there weren't any megalomaniacs in attendance who were plotting to kill her. Well, at least none she knew about.

Grinning, Anemone practically skipped through the doors. She'd opted to leave her ballgown aboard the Izumo, since this didn't sound as formal as she was used to, but she was still looking pretty darn good (http://pics.livejournal.com/death_of_hope/pic/0001z3ka), if she did say so herself.

Yeah. Like this was a party he was going to miss. A.J. came in, still bouncing from the combination of generally being hyper all day and the excess of sugar and caffeine he'd been consuming, green-haired and ready to go.

If it weren't for the fact that she'd been traveling a lot already as it was over the break and she'd probably have someone dragging her to it anyway (or feel an insane amount of bitterness over the fact that no one had), Adah Price found herself somehow limping through the doors of a hotel in Alexandria, Virginia, where hopefully there would be a dark corner in which she could sit and watch people ring in the year she would now refer to as 10.

Yes, there was a reason. No, she wasn't going to explain it to you, but she might not look at you as grudgingly if you figured it out. It wasn't even a difficult one, after all.

Xander shockingly arrived with Bridge, dressed up for what was actually his first New Year in (or near) Fandom, and keeping an eye out for various faces, some of whom hadn't gotten their Christmas presents yet.

Don't feel like dancing just yet? There's a fully stocked bar, with helpful and attentive bar staff, ready to serve you, and a large lounge area, with chairs and couches, and moddable waiters bearing trays of moddabble nibblies.

New Years Eve was all about the bubbly and nibbling and mingling. And before she was going to dance, Annette was going to enjoy the bubbly. Having a glass, then two, she took her third and sat down on a comfortable couch, content to watch the party going on.

It's coming up to midnight, and it wouldn't be New Year's without fireworks.

Head out into the gardens to watch them burst out over the water while you countdown to midnight.

When the room was about as sloshed as it was going to get, Barbossa teetered onto a chair and bellowed: "ATTENTION DRUNKEN WENCHES! I be havin' a hat full of actual money over here, as well as candy! 'n fashion accessories!"

By which he meant $25.83, a pack of Big Red, a mint, an empty gum wrapper, two buttons and some lint.

"I be givin' these valuable prizes t' the first pair o' breasts I see, so be quick about it, aye?"

He waited expectantly for the show to begin.
