As the group from Fandom emerged from the portal, they would be greeted by paradise. The weather was warm, immediately making any jackets and sweaters useless. The sky was a light blue flecked with clouds and, before the group, stood the sprawling Atlantis Resort. Beyond that, miles of sandy beaches, exciting activities, delicious restaurants and anything else you might desire was there at your fingertips, just waiting to be experienced!

Jaina wasn't picky about things like which bed she got, so she literally just tossed her bag and whichever one it landed closest to was the one she'd end up sleeping in. And then screw unpacking, she wanted to check out the view.

Sookie was grateful that she knew her roommate, though that did make it more difficult for her to make a decision about which bed to take. What if Blysse had a preference?

In the end, she decided to leave the bed issue for the time being, and set to unpacking a little. She knew that if she just lived out of her little suitcase, she'd regret it -- and besides, she had to actually locate her bikini if she wanted to go tanning.

Aravis was, once again, grateful that she had at least some modern clothes, though she wished she'd had the foresight to wear some on her way here.

The first thing she did upon arrival was go to her room to change into a still-mildly-conservative sundress, which thankfully was much easier to breathe in than her usual gown.

The second thing she did was go out to the balcony to look. She'd be there awhile.

Now that he was feeling better, Alex didn't plan on staying very long in here. He claimed a bed with his bag, checked the view and then walked around the room some.

Maybe he'd stay long enough to say hello to his roommate. Alex was sure she'd love this arrangement.

Jack dropped his bag on one of the beds and collapsed with a paperback. It had been a long few days; he was inclined to greet the Bahamas with a nap, or -- more likely -- a good long round of staring at the ceiling.

Well, they were in the Bahamas. Even Ender had to admit the weather wasn't exactly unpleasant. Even his room assignment had been pretty good; Zayne wasn't an unknown quantity, and was likely to stay out of his way if he chose to do some work.

Or go through lists of Chinese and Muslim casualties. But hush.

He tossed his laptop bag onto one of the beds and started unpacking his backpack.

Kennedy had wheedled the bell staff into helping her with her luggage as soon as they'd hit the hotel lobby, but she'd had a lot less luck trying to talk the front desk into an upgrade, so while she was putting her things away (some of them, anyway, or there'd be no room in the dresser for Tara's things) she looked minorly annoyed.

Still. The room was pretty sweet, and the view was amazing, and it was going to be a good week if she had to wrestle it into complying. Doubtful that was going to be necessary, though.

Nathan had barely arrived in his room (child held closely by) before being left in the dust by Jan. She had seen the bed - and the cot intended for her. She had seen the room. She had seen...

... Nate was going to spend a lot of time getting her to stop trying to climb onto possibly harmful things.

While Beka had seen Calvin in some of her classes, she'd not talked to him afore. It'd be a little strange sharing with someone she did not know, but it'd be for a week and it couldn't be that bad.

There seemed little point in unpacking and she put her backpack on a chair, sparing some time to explore the room afore she'd wander outside. Pounce seemed little interested and he picked the bed closest to the window to curl up in the sun.

It was a happy Didi who claimed the bed closer to the windows. She stashed a few things in a drawer and set Slim and Wandsworth's temporary home on a tabletop, then went out on the tiny balcony to watch the waves.

She loved the feel of the sea breeze in her hair.

She claimed the bed she wanted, putting her things away before going out on the balcony. She wanted to scope out the view first, before she went down to the beach.

Tony dropped his duffel bag on one of the beds at random and flopped down to look at the brochure. He wanted to find an activity that was awesome and fun and very Bahamas but would still be done in time to watch the US/Canada hockey game tonight.

The room looked quite comfortable. Leto put his bag down next to one of the beds and walked over to the window to enjoy the view. Yes, all that water did resemble Caladan, and the memories of his grandfather made him smile.

Puck barely paused in his room to change into swimwear before heading down to the beach and grabbing both a beer and a swing.

This, he decided, was the perfect place to sit to people-watch. And by 'people-watch,' he meant 'hot divorcee-watch.'

Rory hit the spa first, though it was with some reluctance that she eventually put down her phone.

The masseuse, while understanding, still assured her that it was policy, even if she had left the most gifted and wonderful baby in the world in the hands of a woman who Bedazzled her socks.

And truth be told, after a really lovely treatment, it took Rory a full fifteen minutes to even remember to call her mom.

Gamer's Reef

Just because it seemed to be geared towards those younger than him wasn't going to deter Bod from going inside this place. The flashing lights, sounds and crowd activity were impossible to resist.

He'd seen video games before, even played Tetris and Pong, but this was beyond what he'd seen. And, of course, the first driving game he saw, he took a seat in.

And promptly crashed. He'd probably be there awhile.
