Kellerman's Resort, Tuesday Morning and Afternoon, October 13th

The weather at Kellerman's continued to be favourable, as the autumn sun shone down on the fields and streams of the area. The staff of the resort were busy but happy to help, bustling through the corridors and courtyard.

The boards outside were advertising a white water rafting trip today, for anyone willing to go out and risk the rapids; for the less adventurous, a trip to see the Cascade Falls might just do the trick.

"I think I would like to journey around the world some day. See such wonderful sights as this." She smiled at Leda. "I'll bet your name is very well known there."

"Leda, the great explorer. Or Scent of Heather, depending on who you ask." She smiled and started walking again. "Ever see that movie where a couple makes out under the waterfall?" She didn't know the title, she'd only seen a bit of it.

She'd at least gotten to the point of knowing what 'making out' meant. "I can't say I'm familiar with that film. The last one I saw was about the cruise liner crashing into an iceburg. I'm not entirely sure they portrayed that story accurately."

"I haven't seen that one. Was it based on a true story or something?"

"Well, I can't speak for the two characters, but the ship itself and its fate, yes. That part is true. I remember hearing about it."

"Cruise liner hitting an iceburg. That does sound vaguely familiar."

"Yes," she nodded as they continued along. "Everyone in my village seemed to be talking about it. I was a bit young at the time, but it seemed the entire world had an opinion about it."

"I think maybe it happened before the return of Faerie. I haven't learned a lot of that...his...tory." She trailed off because they had arrived, and her breath was caught by the beauty of the scene.

"I could tell you some things," she offered, then fell silent as well. "Oh my. It's absolutely beautiful."

Leda would have made a mental note to ask Eleanor for some of that history stuff but she was distracted. "Too transcendent."

She laughed. "I shall have to remember to use that sometime."

"I borrowed it from one of the Pups, only fair I pass it along."

"Do you want to take a closer look?" she asked, indicating the waterfall.

"Yes I do. Looks like it could be slippery though." She reached out to take Eleanor's hand. "Just in case one of us slips."

It did indeed. All those wet, moss-covered rocks. "A good idea," she said, taking Leda's outstretched hand.

Even though she wasn't used to walking on such surfaces, the natural grace of the Elves proved to be a boon here, as she effortlessly kept her balance.

It also helped that she was strictly regimenting her Peca intake.

Eleanor wasn't as graceful. She wasn't falling all over the place, but a foot did slip a time or two. And ... that was an awful lot of water to a Fire Mage. Daunting, even.

Leda walked carefully, keeping a firm hold on her friend's hand, not letting her fall even if she stumbled.

"It's pretty shallow here." she assured her.

"Oh good. It's not that I don't know how to swim, but falling in would be rather embarrassing," she smirked.

"Yeah tell me about it. I've only just started learning how to swim myself. So if I fall in you'll probably have to rescue me."

"I could be your knight in shining armor," she giggled.

"And I'd have to reward you with a kiss. That's how those stories always go right?"

"I do think so. Then of course, everyone lives happily ever after. Although I think there's supposed to be some kind of castle involved," she laughed.

"Happily ever after. I've heard that theory. And you know we have a castle."

"The school, yes. I suppose we could pretend it was our castle, filled with all kinds of wondrous riches," she grinned.
