Kellerman's Resort, Tuesday Morning and Afternoon, October 13th

The weather at Kellerman's continued to be favourable, as the autumn sun shone down on the fields and streams of the area. The staff of the resort were busy but happy to help, bustling through the corridors and courtyard.

The boards outside were advertising a white water rafting trip today, for anyone willing to go out and risk the rapids; for the less adventurous, a trip to see the Cascade Falls might just do the trick.

"How so?" she asked, curious, then a small fire appeared in the center of place she'd cleared. "I think that if I get that popular, the school must have a problem with its heating," she laughed.

"People have done strange things to be popular." Like...stay quiet during uncomfortable discussions about the faults of humans and/or take drugs.

"That they have. Even manipulating others to stay in top favors," she said, thinking back to Alison and her daughters.

And that reminded her of certain suspicions of Mooner. "I'm sure you'd draw the line after tampering with the central heating."

Huh. That seemed a little different. Eleanor wondered if there was something to it. "Not that I actually would, you know," she assured her.

"Yes. Why if my parents hadn't made it impossible for me to use magic except for serious things, I'd animate an army of Gingerbread Men."

She giggled. "I didn't have that problem. The way magic works in my world is that the ability doesn't appear until someone is a bit older."
