Kellerman's Resort, Tuesday Morning and Afternoon, October 13th

The weather at Kellerman's continued to be favourable, as the autumn sun shone down on the fields and streams of the area. The staff of the resort were busy but happy to help, bustling through the corridors and courtyard.

The boards outside were advertising a white water rafting trip today, for anyone willing to go out and risk the rapids; for the less adventurous, a trip to see the Cascade Falls might just do the trick.

Rooms contain two twin beds with a private bath. Ping in with your cottage name and room # to prevent any confusion over the similarly named rooms!

Featuring indoor activities such as: billiards, cable tv and sitting room, dance floor, foos ball, movie theatre, ping pong, table shuffleboard and video games.

For lounging around (or in) the pool, hitting up the hot tub or the sauna, or getting a relaxing treatment at the spa!

Featuring hiking, mountain biking, wilderness hikes, disc golf, trail running, geocaching, orienteering, wagon rides, bouldering, bird walks and archery!

For the more adventurous among the visitors, a rafting trip on the New River Gorge National River might be an idea.

This trip takes you off the resort grounds and into the nearby Jefferson National Falls, where the trail leads up to the beautiful Cascade Falls.

This trip makes me pretend like I'm actually on vacation.

Another day of taking it easy, Layla was enjoying the hiking trails of the park and would occasionally snap a picture or two as she hiked along.

While Worf could not work on his battle skills at Kellerman's he found the geocaching to be an excellent activity and was a decent way to work on his recon skills.

Or at least that was his excuse to do the activity.

Oh, there was no way Hannibal wasn't going to go on the rafting trip. Yeah, yeah, he knew he'd have to learn how to be safe when all he really wanted to see was someone going flying out of the raft and into the water.

Such a saint, this one. And if it was him flying into the water, all the better. It'd make for a great story.

Having enjoyed the swim in the pool a few days ago, Jonas was back there again, a little more certain this time. He slipped in but kept to the shallow end, wading slowly.

He cupped a handful of water with his hands and splashed it on his face and hair before shaking it off and out, enjoying the slow drops of water that he could see falling from his nose and eyelashes.

While he knew the answer to the question, Jonas really couldn't see why swimming hadn't been more prevalent in the Community. It was fun and relaxing and fascinating.

It was a decent morning. They were going to go down to the pool again - early, this time, and Arthur couldn't find it in him to disagree, because at least it made for good morning training and distraction if you just swam enough laps - and Arthur felt that it was best to go prepared this time.

Last time, his underwear had suffered in the changing room. He didn't want to talk about it.

So he'd headed into the bathroom, yanked on his swimwear, checked his hair (which was tamed, this time) taken a drink of water, and padded back into the living room ready to proceed on with the day.

Ender had been in the mood for a good walk, or at least some exploration of the territory. If he didn't get to set foot on his own Earth again, then this one would have to do - and the falls were beautiful, as were the woods surrounding them.

He enjoyed the hike as he went.

"Getting some nice shots?" Ender asked, lightly, in the absence of his own camera.

For multiple reasons, white water rafting was right out, thanks, and Tahiri was looking for an outdoor activity a little more solitary than the lawn games the resort offered.

That didn't mean she wasn't doing the hike barefoot -- but she did have a pair of shoes dangling from one hand as she walked, just in case.

Alex was planning on actually venturing outside today but he figured he could get in a game of pool before that. It'd give him some time to get some caffeine and food in him and enjoy the fact that he'd been sleeping decently for a few days now.

"Hey, Tahiri."

He hadn't spoken to her since the last newbie picnic, and considering they were both on the hike together, it seemed natural to at least check in; especially seeing how Ben had been, last week.

To Merlin who was most certainly not searching through Arthur's things for said swimwear.

"Arthur--Oh." Well shit.

The walk was challenging for Tara -- look, she never claimed to be super outdoorsy -- but the view was worth it. She paused on the rocks near the falls to catch her breath and take pictures.

Arthur shot him a curious look. Right. "Get me a shirt while you're in there, will you?" he asked.

Tara meant to just say thank you to Tahiri again, but the shoes were a little more distracting.

"Hey." A pause. "Doesn't -- don't the rocks hurt your feet?"

And like Jak would miss out on this. This was way cooler than wading through the water looking at birds and such. He was practically bouncing, in his own, understated way, as they got to the riverside and the rafts.

This would be awesome.

All of those on his raft? Be very afraid.

"Of course." Merlin dug about for something shirt-like. Innocently plotting. "You're going swimming again?"

"It's a lacking substitute for my normal exercise regimen," Arthur said, sitting down on his bed. He yawned, stretching his limbs, "But it's good enough, I suppose."

The movie theater was showing a Disney marathon that morning, so Didi was ensconced in the theater, munching popcorn and watching princesses find their princes.

She loved a good happy ending.
