Hotel Dann Carlton Quito, Sunday, October 13, 2019 [Quito, Ecuador]
After a slight misadventure through the portals that involved a very surprised Beaker, a show full of Muppets, and Anakin being shot from a cannon (he's fine, but his hair is ruined), the Fandomites arrived in Quito, Ecuador in the late afternoon, which was not enough time to go very far in their explorations, but enough to hit the Parque La Carolina, a 165.5 acre park in the center of Quito and a five minute walk from their hotel, the Dann Carlton Quito. Despite its location near the equator, the temperatures are very fall-like today, hovering around 72F (22C) until it cooled down even further when the sun went down at 6.

ROOMS 10/13
whichever is funnierrooms, which come equipped with a mini-bar, wifi, and soaking tubs. The chaperones are in suites, with either a king-sized bed or two doubles. The teachers also have access to the executive suites' courtesy room where they can pick up snacks and coffee and complain about students without them overhearing.[OOC: Room assignments are here, put your room number in the subject line so your roomie can find you, and as always, NFB posts go in personal accounts.]
Room 106
But...
Nina did a full sweep of the rooms before she came back to stare at the bed in complete dismay.
"Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!," she said, scandalized, to Foomy. "There's only one BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
If her roommate was, like, a girl it would be okay. But if it was a guy, well...
Foomy burbled supportively at her as, feeling a bit faint, Nina sat on the edge of the one, singular bed and tried not to think of all the ways she could be completely doomed.
Re: Room 106
So there was a knock at the door to alert his roomate that he would be coming in, if they were already there, and then the door opened slowly and he poked his head in. "Sorry for the intrusion," he started, but then he stopped with a laugh when he saw who was on the bed, threw the door open, and launched himself inside.
"How absolutely marvelous!" he declared, opening his arms. "Nina! It appears that were shall be roommates this trip! Spectacular! I daresay, I don't believe I could have gotten a more splendidly enthusiastic and cheery choice!"
Re: Room 106
Then Sidon showed up and all her wildly swirling thoughts stuttered to a halt as she blinked up at him and then, relieved, burst into delighted laughter.
It all made sense now! Of course there was only one bed! There was a delightful soaking pool and naturally if one was rooming with Sidon then, why, a second bed wasn't needed!
"Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said delighted. "You have saved me, Sidon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Re: Room 106
Whatever it was, he certainly hoped it was something daring and exciting!
Re: Room 106
"From the terrible ignominy," that was the word you were going with, Nina? "of having a room shared with an undesirable sort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Nina beamed up at him.
"So, you see, you have saved me simply by being yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Suite 208
Would her roommate object if she went ahead and just claimed the bed closer to the window? Only one way to find out.

Not her, but she definitely knew people.

That . . . was going to be a phrase repeated a few times as long as Beau was going around the room taking stock of the amenities, yeah. She was mildly disappointed about not having an in-room hot tub this time, but hey, maybe they'd fail less at actually leaving the room and doing vacation-y things this trip!
And no, she wasn't going to be touching the mini-bar. After everything she'd learned about the cost of wine, keeping the winery books back in Kamordah? (And also the bit where she'd figured out how to make a nice black market profit with it?) She wasn't going to let herself get grossly overcharged for tiny bottles of booze. Please.
She would totally fling herself down right in the middle of the bed and enjoy the super comfortable mattress, though.

Ex.Haust.Ing!
Prompto closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, letting him just have a moment to recharge before picking himself back up, getting back out there, figuring he could at least hide behind his camera taking shots around the city. He'd get to it. He just needed a moment. Or five. To just sprawl out and space out for a moment before it was right back out there in chipper, cheerful glory...
He was also sparing a mild thought for who his roommate was going to be, thinking it was too bad no one seemed to have brought their dog with them this time....
Siiiiiiigggghhhhh.
Re: Room 105
"Oh! Hello," she said, clutching her valise and pulling her trunk into the room. Then she noticed Prompto sprawled out on his bed. "Sorry," she said, pitching her voice much quieter. "If you're trying to nap, I can come back later."
She'd just put her stuff down and head out.
Re: Room 105
But then he was on his feet and heading for her trunk. "Here, let me help you with that. Elisabeth, right? I think we have a few classes together?"

No guarantees on that one, though!

"Coffee and the jacuzzi," he decided, putting luggage down.
Re: Room 210
His phone chimed. "Natasha says Patriot is the most spoiled puppy alive."

He'd just cross the bridge when he came to it. And possibly end up sleeping outside if things got weird.
But for now he was picking the bed closest to him and flopping over on it. Travel was annoying.
