Hotel Dann Carlton Quito, Sunday, October 13, 2019 [Quito, Ecuador]

After a slight misadventure through the portals that involved a very surprised Beaker, a show full of Muppets, and Anakin being shot from a cannon (he's fine, but his hair is ruined), the Fandomites arrived in Quito, Ecuador in the late afternoon, which was not enough time to go very far in their explorations, but enough to hit the Parque La Carolina, a 165.5 acre park in the center of Quito and a five minute walk from their hotel, the Dann Carlton Quito. Despite its location near the equator, the temperatures are very fall-like today, hovering around 72F (22C) until it cooled down even further when the sun went down at 6.

"Hm?" Prompto lifted his head at the sound of a mostly unfamiliar voice, blinking at Elisabeth for a moment before his brain was kind enough to catch up with things like words. "Oh, no," he said quickly. "It's fine. I was just--"

But then he was on his feet and heading for her trunk. "Here, let me help you with that. Elisabeth, right? I think we have a few classes together?"

"Yes," Elisabeth said, giving him a smile of appreciation as he helped move her things. She hadn't brought much - she didn't have much to bring - but it was still unwieldy to carry by herself. "And you're Prompto?"

"Yeah," Prompto shot her a crooked grin, "that's right. Nice to you, like, outside-of-class meet you, Elisabeth. Especially since, you know, we're stuck together for this thing. Any rules for the room you wanna set up? I'm pretty easy, though. I might wake up early sometimes because I like to go run," and he knew they'd be eating a lot on this trip, probably, "and I'll try not to sing too loudly in the shower."

No guarantees on that one, though!

"I'm also up early," Elisabeth admitted. "Apprentices weren't allowed to sleep in at the Library. So you probably won't wake me up. Umm, unless you wanted to run before dawn? But I'm pretty good at falling back to sleep, too."

She figured if she hadn't been fazed by her old roommate's explosions, a little bit of noise wouldn't be all that bad.

"Yeah, no," Prompto said with a snort. "Definitely don't need to worry about before dawn. In fact, I'm pretty sure a couple of these mornings, you might need to wake me up so I don't miss the bus or whatever."
