Normally Friday is a great day, but this week it means the amount of break time is dwindling, so now is your chance to get all the fall break fun in that you can! The weather was still cool and sunny, and there was plenty to do!

HOTEL

We're spending the week at the five-star/five diamond Boston Harbor Hotel. Hotel luxuries include a private health-club style spa and fitness center, award-winning dining, and a full-service 34-slip marina.

ROOMS 10/15

Students' deluxe rooms have windows out over downtown Boston, and their chaperones' premier rooms have views out over the marina and into Boston Harbor. The rooms come equipped with all the amenities and two full beds or one king depending on which is funnier.

After the relaxing swim, Dwight had headed back to the room and was currently flipping through the excessive number of channels trying to find something to watch while waiting for the room service breakfast he ordered to get there.

"Did you know they have pancakes?" Faye asked from where she was perusing the room service menu in bed.

That was where she'd be eating these pancakes, too, if anyone was curious. In the bed. It was vacation.

Well, you definitely won't starve this week, even if you never leave the hotel. Rowes Wharf Sea Grille offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with both indoor and outdoor seating. Its afternoon tea is also extremely popular. You can also go for drinks and snacks at the Rowes Wharf Bar starting at 4pm. Or you can stay up in your room and order in.

At some point in the afternoon Goose finally woke up and felt the all too familiar lingering effects of a sugar hit. He decided to eventually drag himself downstairs to eat something and settled on a lobster roll. He was definitely going to be avoiding anything super sugary for the rest of the day.

AMENITIES 10/15

Whether its the 60-foot lap pool, the Pelaton bikes and yoga classes you're all dying to try out, or the spa, the hotel has your fitness needs covered. The gym is open 24 hours, which is very helpful for you insomniac health nuts.

Dwight was up early again that morning. Rooming with Amaya had been pretty good so far, and she was a lot of fun to hang out with on the various tours and what not. But the snoring. Dwight figured he'd be able to sleep through just about anything after all his time in the military and camping and dealing with all kinds of noise and less than ideal sleeping conditions. But that snoring got pretty bad at times.... how someone her size could snore like that was a mystery.

And so there was Dwight, diving into the pool and enjoying some laps. He wasn't even pushing himself or swimming that hard. He was more interested in just enjoying being in the water as he reminded himself to start swimming more often again once they were back home.

Gym - Early Morning

As she had done so all week Alara was back at the gym in the early morning and going through what had become her normal workout routine. She was actually pretty amazed that the equipment was still holding up to her strength.

Proud gym rat, reporting for duty! Perhaps that was one good thing about one of their team still being a baby, no pub crawl meant that Gladio could hit the gym just as hard and effectively as he had for the entirety of the week so far, although, really, he probably would have been fine even if he had been drinking, it took a lot of beer to really get through his system.

Wine, on the other hand, well, that would have probably just made him sleepy.

EXCURSIONS

Go, run free throughout Boston! The hotel will provide a car if you choose to go out on your own, and the school has arranged a few different excursion choices every day.

After all the hiking that she’d done yesterday, Jo decided that she didn’t want to do so much walking today and thought exploring the market sounded like fun. Even though she’d done a fair bit of shopping yesterday, she was still finding different things to buy and while some of the items she’d picked were for her friend, she was also picking up somethings for herself.

Irene missed living in a city so acutely it hurt sometimes, so this was exactly the balm she'd needed. She once more opted for a slightly more toned-down look, pairing a cozy cardigan sweater with another pair of jeans and ballet flats that could have probably covered a down payment on a sensible sedan, if sold.

In any case, this looked like a good spot to pick up a few local trinkets for herself. Maybe do a little early Christmas shopping. (Any excuse to shop, honestly.)

As a bit of an artisan herself, this sort of thing was right up Amaya's alley, what with plenty of food, drink, and various goods to explore and somewhat criticize or appreciate on some small level of detail.

And also maybe tickling her brain about maybe one say upgrading to a place like this with a bit more foot traffic than their odd little island, although the market for swords beyond curiosity and collections was probably even less out here on the mainland...

...but still! They did seem to enjoy their rustic and their vintage! And you didn't get much more of either than with Amaya...

Oh, it was a hood thing Ignis was doing his best to stick to the itinerary of the school's explorations, because if ue'd had discovered this place sooner, he may have never left. The restaurants in particular, naturally, had his eye and his attention, and his poor fingers had snapped from so many new recipes he might need to pick up a new pair of gloves somewhere around here, too, at this rate!

Even if she figured an island would be pretty safe from New England tigers, Sakaki was going to just play it safe and hit up this market place instead. She was hoping to find a shop selling something very cute to bring home with her as a souvenir, because going back without one would be very tragic and sad.

Seivarden had decided to go explore the market after getting an odd response from the staff in the tea shop when bringing up the historical conflict where people had dumped tea in the the ocean in some kind of protest. About tea. Seivarden had done her best not to be judgemental, but had a feeling she hadn't quite succeeded, and she Breq would have disapproved of that.

Thus she wasn't in the best of moods, but finding a stall which sold jewelry and finding a small brooch improved it, although now she was nervous instead, trying to picture Breq's reaction if she were to actually give it to her. She still wasn't quite convinced by Hannibal's suggestion.

Spectacle Island

With panoramic views of the Boston Harbor and an accessible lifeguarded beach, Spectacle Island is ideal for outdoor adventures or a relaxing day by the sea. Over the years, Spectacle Island has served several purposes, from supporting farming to housing resort hotels. It now functions as a park for the public to explore. Enjoy a day of hiking, listen to the sweet sounds of a jazz concert, or take in the breathtaking views from the top of North Drumlin.

Alara loved the beach and it reminded her of her family’s beach house on Xelaya. So she decided to spend the day at the beach, she was considering trying hiking later but for now she was walking along the sand and looking out across the water taking in the view.

Fenway Park

Go on a walking tour of Fenway Park. DO NOT GET KICKED OUT OF THIS FOR HECKLING, Yankee fans.
