The day dawned hot and sunny as the rest of the days spent in Mexico had.  But this day was different. 

Because the Mexican government had said ZOMGWTFBBQ STFU GTFO

Today there was only time for a quick dip in the ocean or the pool and maybe a mimosa with breakfast before the buses left to take the students back to airport to go back to the grey of Fandom.

Lana packed all of her stuff and got it ready to go, then went down to sun on the beach and maybe get in one last swim before she had to go.

Only the Main Restaurant was open this early, but there's a luscious buffet spread out for your consuming pleasure.

Mmmm, breakfast buffets were part of what made vacations so awesome, and, for Turtle, the last day breakfast buffet was practically an institution. She had food, OJ, and, in a change of pace, a copy of the Sunday Times. She was still grateful she could get them here (yay tourism).

Hallway outside Room 9

Last night Brooke locked herself out of her room. Which would have been simple enough, except that alcohol was not great for helping you think logically, and without someone to guide her through the little steps, such as door-knocking, she'd slept in the hallway.

Lucky for her, she wasn't hungover as much as she was uncomfortable, with a crick in her neck, and trying to glare at the whole floor at once as she got to her feet and once again tried getting into the room. This time with door-kicking, followed by Okay-maybe-I-am-a-little-hungover wincing.

Room 9, like just before leaving

After coming back to the room, Brooke went through, throwing things into her suitcases and deciding that next time maybe she should plan on doing this sort of thing the day before.

On her last checkthrough of the room, she started looking through the bathroom, under the bed, and in the drawers-

And that was when she found the squirrel's sombrero in the drawer next to the Bible. Okay, she had no idea how that got there and that somehow seemed very wrong.

The Bus

Lana was packed and set to go. She hated to leave the warmth of Mexico, but she had to admit she was ready to head home and see Chris and everyone else again.

Romeo grumpily took a seat on the bus, smell of salt water and sand still strong in his hair.

He leaned his head against the cool glass of the window and stared at the beach as long as he could.

Sokka was grumpy and didn't want to leave. The trip had been the BEST THING EVER and now it was over. And he was bored.

...And so many people on the bus looked hungover. Sokka definitely knew how that felt, having been there just yesterday.

Jaina took a seat on the bus, feeling more relaxed than she had in months, really, maybe even more than that. Though she did really feel the need to check on her lightsaber first thing when she got back.
