Akumal Beach Resort - Wednesday

After what seemed like - and was - many hours of travel, the buses pulled up to a large brightly coloured complex beyond which could be seen a bright turquoise sea. 

Maps and guides to the resort were handed out with building 4 circled on it.  No room numbers were given yet but the entire second floor facing the main pool was being used for the Fandom High guests.

As soon as everyone made their way off the buses, they were free to explore the resort, play on the beach or poolside, visit the restaurants and bars, or just lounge in their rooms and enjoy not being in the 'cold' any longer.

[OOC:  The resort is all-inclusive so food and drinks and activities are allowed.  I assume they use wristbands of different colours to designate those who are and are not of age to drink.  I also assume Fandom students are more than capable of figuring ways around that.  Just don't get thrown in jail.

Threads below are for a variety of activities, there will be a second post with the room assignments going up shortly so as not to over-OCD this one.  You can feel free to put up posts in your personal journals if you're doing specific things, in secluded coves, etc.

Also?  The beachside bar has swings instead of chairs.  This might be a reason this place was chosen.  Shh.

It's what we came for, isn't it?

There's plenty of white sand to lay out on, walk on, play beach volleyball etc.

The water is likewise fine with lots of water gear to float on or play with.

There aren't however any jetskis or other motorized boats here due to the reef that protects the bay the hotel is on.

But you can have kayaks and sailboats and such.

After the long trip Peter wanted sun and sand. He changed into swimming trunks and headed out to the beach. He figured he could swim for a bit, then grab a nap on the shore.

Making sure her towel was flat out on the sand, Alex laid down on her stomach, ready to soak up the sun's rays.

Mel wasted no time getting to the beach and was already laying out in the sun with her new swimsuit and sunglasses and sipping on a giant drink.

It was the Caribbean, not the Pacific, but the sun and fine white sand and glaring sun were almost the same as those in Verona.

Romeo found a patch of sand to sit on, just staring out at the waves for a moment.

Someone should probably mention to Turtle that keeping her Wall Street Journal over the bare midriff that that bikini that Jeff talked her into getting sort of defeated the point of suntanning.

That someone would probably have to watch their shins for the rest of the trip, though.

The warm water, the sun on his face, all the hot girls that he knew and lots more that he didn't all wearing next to nothing...

Fraser was...mostly out of uniform. Jeans and a t-shirt were light for him. He wasn't going near the water just now but stood a little further back, enjoying the sun and the sand.

Jen had picked up a book at the airport on the way, and per Dojima's advice found herself a quiet lounge chair somewhat away from the bulk of the activity.

She had her visual scanners on, though the scanning mode was turned off and they were basically just sunglasses at the moment.

Just because she had no intention of getting involved with anybody any time in . . . oh, forever didn't mean she couldn't look.

Aravis didn't even care who saw her back like this. She was just too happy to be somewhere warm that she sprawled out on a towel on the beach, content to be lazy and warm.

The Pool!

Not quite as good as the beach, but some people like it.

The main pool (http://pics.livejournal.com/once_a_king/pic/0000t1wa) is what all the FH rooms look out on so wave to your classmates and chaperones while patronising the poolside bar.

There are plenty of pool toys as well as a jacuzzi and many, many chairs to lay out on.

Lee wasn't ready for the beach just yet (too much sand) but the pool and it's chairs were tempting so he took laid out a towel on the chair, wriggled out of his shirt and sat down, enjoying the warmth.

This is why Kerrigan was located in the Italian restaurant, inhaling food at greater speeds than most of the staff were probably used to. She didn't care.
