fh_trips | Akumal Beach Resort

After what seemed like - and was - many hours of travel, the buses pulled up to a large brightly coloured complex beyond which could be seen a bright turquoise sea.

Maps and guides to the resort were handed out with building 4 circled on it. No room numbers were given yet but the entire second floor facing the main pool was being used for the Fandom High guests.

As soon as everyone made their way off the buses, they were free to explore the resort, play on the beach or poolside, visit the restaurants and bars, or just lounge in their rooms and enjoy not being in the 'cold' any longer.

[OOC: The resort is all-inclusive so food and drinks and activities are allowed. I assume they use wristbands of different colours to designate those who are and are not of age to drink. I also assume Fandom students are more than capable of figuring ways around that. Just don't get thrown in jail.

Threads below are for a variety of activities, there will be a second post with the room assignments going up shortly so as not to over-OCD this one. You can feel free to put up posts in your personal journals if you're doing specific things, in secluded coves, etc.

Also? The beachside bar has swings instead of chairs. This might be a reason this place was chosen. Shh.

Wade shrugged. "Wouldn't want people to get the wrong impression."

"Who's going to get the wrong impression?" Aly asked, making a face. "For that matter, who cares?" She stopped, thinking back to a conversation with an upset ninja. "Oh. I - right. It won't be a problem."

He shrugged again. "Don't need to get you in trouble or anything. Bad influence that I am and all. You should find people closer to your own again anyway."

Aly stared at him. "What the hell are you talking about? I've never called you a bad influence."

"Things go to shit around me," Wade replied. "Better to get out before it spreads."

"Stop it, Wade," she told him flatly. "Things aren't going to go to shit. So just stop it."

He looked away for a moment. "Ask Arashi, I doubt he'd mind if you wanted to hang out for a night. And he's pretty snuggly too..."

"I won't disturb your guys' vacation," Aly said, smiling right back at him. "You two deserve it. Maybe we can get dinner or something instead."

"You're a friend, right?" That came out a little less certain than he liked. "Ask 'em."

She shot him a glance then nodded. "Yeah. I am. I will."

"Good!" That was a real grin there. "Very good!"

She grinned back and picked up her drink again. "I'm glad you came."

"Well, I couldn't let you and Arashi be stolen away by some third rate Mexican me."

"You don't think we'd be fooled that easily, do you?" she asked.

"I dunno, people I'm used to didn't realize Nate had been replaced by his evil clone even though it was kinda obvious with the goatee."

No joke.

It was kinda sad.

Aly rolled her eyes. "I like to flatter myself that I'm more observant than the average bear."

Wade patted her on the arm. "But no pic-i-nic baskets for you."

"Will you carry the pic-i-nic baskets when we go on a picnic then?" she asked, batting her eyelashes.

"Do I get many delicious sandwiches out of the deal," Wade asked after a moment of thought.

"Also hunny," Aly told him.

"I demand this hunny you speak of up front."

Aly leaned over and gave him a kiss. "Anytime, baby."

Wade blinked for a moment, not doing anything just yet. This was cool again... right?

And then kissed her back. "I'm calling you Hunny now."

She chuckled. "I might have to stab you for that."

"Hunny bear? Sugar hunny bun? Hunny bunches of oats?"
