Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sunday Afternoon and Evening
The Copacabana Hotel was certainly... statuesque. The front facade stood high and formal in the middle of lovely Rio, though, like a mullet, all the fun was in the back - at the beachside, where fun and sun would be waiting come tomorrow.
The Fandom contingent had managed to get their hands on some beachside rooms, though it was probably best not to ask who or what had made this much money change hands. Because it wasn't like anyone running this gig had any interesting off-shore accounts...

"Evening," she said. "I know you said you'd be easy to find, but I wasn't even looking."
Bruce would have gotten that greeting even if she'd actually known it was his birthday.

He wasn't concerned about chains, anyway. He had enough lock picks hidden on him that he could get out of that without any issue.
[OOC: Night!]
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"No, his first mistake was not listening to me." Richard made that mistake far too often for her liking, it'd get him killed...again.
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"Okay, his second mistake," Bruce said.
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"We did actually have a reason for being there. Just not the usual one."
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"Color me surprised. I imagine you were trying to break up whatever the inhabitants were doing on the side?" Classy way to say 'hookers' there, Bruce.
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"They were planning a coup." Not that Richard had helped by getting himself killed and body-snatched, and he wondered why she didn't want to let him wander off by himself any more. "Turns out it's remarkably easy to bait a trap for generals with whores. Whoever would have guessed?"
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"Sounds like a pretty ingenious plan," Bruce said. "Until they were inevitably found out, of course. It would have to get suspicious eventually."
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"Their leader intended on replacing the heir to the throne with her own puppet and ruling through him." Hence the body-snatching. Which never would have been an option if someone had claimed his throne already, Richard.
Re: Rio de Janeiro - Bar Luiz
"Still, it's better that you thwarted her, obviously."

"She wasn't running it at the same time." Not unless she'd have wanted to be laughed out of the Mord'Sith. "And there's a difference between making people happy and peddling in flesh."
