Spa at the Monastery, St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Wednesday Morning & Afternoon

Morning saw yet another temperature drop, though it would warm to roughly yesterday's temperatures as the day went on. Rain had left a wet sheen on the area, but it had since made way for simple clouds. If you were lucky, you might even catch sight of the sun eventually.

The hotel's facilities were still available for anyone who wanted to use them, including those staying in and avoiding the Habitat for Humanity build. Though if you were planning to get your chest waxed, we really recommend the build instead.

Oh, right, Kenzi was one of those.

But!

She threw out my robots, Topher complained. Granted, they had been wires and blocks of metal at the time, but they were robots in progress! Robot fetuses! And now they were dead!

So build new robots, Peter said, while privately congratulating himself for not winding up stuck with Topher for a roommate. You're a mechanical genius, shouldn't be too hard.

She might throw those out too. Because she was ~~perfectly justified in cleaning up the mess and avoiding electrocution~~ mean.

Can I move in with you? SAY NO, PETER. JUST SAY NO.

I have a roommate, Peter said. Neglecting to point out whether that was his trip or his real one.

I don't think that would be a good idea, Peter wrote.

He loved not having a roommate. It made it so much easier to work.

If you say so, Topher replied. But come over one night this week? Pleeeease?

See, Peter? You were loved! Even if it made it harder to work.

Peter sighed. He didn't really have time, Topher. God, why didn't you get this? I told you, I don't do video games, he wrote.

Then just to hang out?

And possibly badger into video games?

Having people around was turning out to be more of a drag on his time than he'd thought.

On the other hand, there were people who actually wanted to spend time with him, and that did... speak to his ~~insecurities~~ ego. Fine, but only for an hour or two.
