Morning saw yet another temperature drop, though it would warm to roughly yesterday's temperatures as the day went on. Rain had left a wet sheen on the area, but it had since made way for simple clouds. If you were lucky, you might even catch sight of the sun eventually.

The hotel's facilities were still available for anyone who wanted to use them, including those staying in and avoiding the Habitat for Humanity build. Though if you were planning to get your chest waxed, we really recommend the build instead.

"Well, I didn't find any ghosts on the haunted trail last night, which was a little disappointing. But other than that, it's been a decent break," Bruce said. "I can't complain much about a place that lets me help the needs and gives me this many amenities to help myself."

Not that he would use most of those amenities, of course. But still. No complaints.

"I can't say I ever expected to be in a place like this myself," said Ender, who didn't add the part where he hadn't really expected to go anywhere on Earth again a few years ago. "But it's definitely a good thing, working on a project where the community comes together like that."

"I was actually considering taking a trip off on my own to Europe before I heard about that part," Beuce said. "Nothing against Canada, of course, but for a break week trip, I like to do something big. But I probably wouldn't be building a house in Europe. And if I were doing that, it would probably be for very unexpected reasons."

Probably part of a sting to help someone catch a criminal or something.

"Unexpected construction," Ender said. "There's a good reason to spend your vacation learning how to build a house."

"It's a skill that can always come in handy," Bruce said. "You never know when exactly you might need to build a wall."

"Or a roof," Ender supplied. "At least, if you intend to travel as much as you seem to."

"I've traveled less than I used to since coming to Fandom," Bruce said. "I'm sure I'll make up for that after graduation, though. Go on a dedicated world tour, see some things I haven't yet."

"More or less," Bruce said. "I figure I should get as much experience as I can in before I start at Gotham State and lose the ability to just pick up and go whenever."

Granted, several buildings on the campus were named after his parents, he had his own private jet, and was secretive. Nothing could stop him from sweeping off to Europe whenever he wanted, including classes.

Ender nodded, because that did make sense - at least, he supposed it did, for normal high school students who did normal things. Then again, his Jeesh had talked like that. He wondered. "Well, enjoy your freedom," he said, "Even if Canada isn't as exciting as Europe."
