Spa at the Monastery [St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Tuesday Evening]

Someday, there would be a clear evening in St. John's. Today was not that day - or that night. (Spoiler: tomorrow might be.) The rain was light, though, the temperature in the mid-40's for you Fahrenheit-speaking heathens, and around 7°C for normal people.

There were plenty of indoor entertainment options, though, for the normal and the not-so, and if you'd packed a jacket and umbrella, the walk to various night-spots wouldn't be uncomfortable at all. If you didn't pack an umbrella, you could always buy one! Or stand under someone else's...ella... ella... ella.

"Who else has Peter told about this?" So Tony could be all macho and--"JESUSCHISTTHATHURTS.

Ben had been tortured by his cousin when he was fourteen, so a little bit of waxing didn't hurt that much.

Or so he was telling himself. "I didn't know Peter was so invested in people's lives that weren't Peter's," he added, making a face.

"Kenzi?" Topher recalled, in answer to Tony's question. "I figured it was, like, a thing people knew."

AND HE HAD FELT LEFT OUT.

He was not seeing the problem here, no.

"There's nothing for people to know," Tony replied, wincing at his angry, red legs. "Its a personal thing."

"And a not-even-true thing," Ben added with far more vehemence than actual truth.

Oh.

Huh.

"Sorry," Topher mumbled, glancing away.

Then -- "Ow!"

"Just, be careful who you say that kind of thing to," Tony said, shooting Ben a look. He was going to get asked after this. Asked soooo muuuch. "Might end up getting punched by another girl."

Like Karla.

"Learn to duck," Ben added. "Or stop making girls mad, but I think the first one's more likely."

"That's what Peter keeps saying," Topher lamented with a sigh.

Tony examined one now hairless leg. "Huh. Maybe Ben could teach you to duck. Or I could ask Mr. Rogers if you could watch a training session."

"Sexy," Ben said dryly, glancing at Tony's leg. "But you better go through with the other one or else it'll look really stupid."

He turned his attention back to the question at hand. "We could combine it? Mr. Rogers could hit him and I could yell duck?"

Ben was super-helpful.

"That sounds... possibly... helpful?"

Also terrifying.

Experimentally, Topher poked his chest. It didn't look all that different, him being as blond as he was, but it felt all smooth and nice.

"I don't think its fair that I have to do twice as much," Tony grumbled. "I have legitimate medical concerns!"

"Well, if you want to stop with just one leg done, I can't stop you," Ben said, trying not to laugh too hard, "but it's a look."

He poked at his own chest. "This is kind of astral. Not in an I'll ever repeat it way, but..."

"It looks a little weird with just the one done," Topher agreed.

Then he thought about what he was saying.

"Maybe you should leave it..." Not because it might freak out Tony's girlfriend or anything. Nooooo.

Tony flopped back, letting the lady get to work on his other leg. "I hate you both."

"But you'll look amazing in a short skirt," Ben teased.

That was mean, Ben, getting Topher's hopes up like that.

"Hey, you know, you should try that," he encouraged Tony with a grin, aiming for a casual dare-giving sort of statement. It didn't so much work, no.

"Stop leering at my legs, both of you," Tony replied, wincing as a strip of wax was yanked away. "I'm getting you both back."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Ben said unwisely, waving his hand. "I'll sleep with one eye open." He grinned at Topher. "Kind of like how Topher has to see when he's awake."

Mean, Ben.

Topher blinked.

"I don't get it."

Of course he didn't.

"Black eye," Tony supplied, throwing a strip of waxy, hairy paper at Ben. "He's being a dweeb."

"Don't think I'm keeping this," Ben said, making a face.

Hopefully Topher wouldn't take one to make a life-like Tony droid...

Hopefully indeed! He seemed to be controlling himself. For now.

"Gotcha," Topher said, and contemplated how much the recurring black eyes sucked. "Yeaaah, teach me how to duck."

It probably would not be a success.

Sentient robots tended to go crazy around Tony. Fair warning.

"And run," Tony added. "You could use that."
