Spa at the Monastery [St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Tuesday Evening]

Someday, there would be a clear evening in St. John's. Today was not that day - or that night. (Spoiler: tomorrow might be.) The rain was light, though, the temperature in the mid-40's for you Fahrenheit-speaking heathens, and around 7°C for normal people.

There were plenty of indoor entertainment options, though, for the normal and the not-so, and if you'd packed a jacket and umbrella, the walk to various night-spots wouldn't be uncomfortable at all. If you didn't pack an umbrella, you could always buy one! Or stand under someone else's...ella... ella... ella.

"Topher shrunk all of her clothes by putting them in the same washer," Ben said cheerfully. "And I'm not waxing my chest until Tony waxes his legs or his eyebrows or something."

"What's wrong with my eyebrows!" Tony asked with a frown, reaching up to touch them. "Topher will be getting his chest waxed too, no need for me to get anything done."

"His eyebrows are fine!" Topher defended Tony, a bit more emphatically than was strictly necessary.

"But his legs would be okay, though. I guess."

"I didn't know girls had hair there," Topher said, tilting his head. Then he wrinkled his nose. "Weird."

He was also vaguely wondering why Ben was being so mean today. Not that he recognized peer pressure when he saw it, or anything.

"Don't answer that. If Topher and I are getting something done that'll hurt, you need to too. It's only fair."

"I have health concerns!" And was a wimp. Yes. "And girls aren't a different, selectively hairless species, Topher."

"I can get a facial. Those hurt, right?"

"I think those are supposed to be fun," Topher corrected him. "I'd go for the leg wax if I were you."

"'Kay," Topher said agreeably, and got up to head out with the two of them. On the way, he picked up the wire and placed it back in the pile of the others.
