Kohala Coast, Hawaii - Morning & Afternoon - Friday - February 25th

With only two days of vacation left, time was running out for the guests to enjoy the blue skies and warm ocean breeze of Hawaii. Luckily, there were still plenty of things to do at the resort, for anyone who wasn't worn out from all the fun yet!

Bobby had gotten back from the tidepool education to enjoy himself on the beach.

He'd gone swimming for a long time, but finally returned to the beach. Bobby had planned to write the report his mom had assigned, but while his notebook and pen were out, he was trying to be subtle about watching all the pretty girls instead. Trying being the operative word.

"Are you actually doing homework on the beach?" Percy asked, wandering up when he saw his younger looking doppelganger. "I thought you were on vacation too, Bobby."

"It's vacation homework," Bobby explained, looking up guiltily. "Mom made me promise to do it when she agreed to let us come!"

"What's vacation homework?" Percy wondered, leaning over to take a peek. "Like a report on Hawaii or something? What educational things you've seen so far this week?"

"Um. Yeah," he admitted. "And I'm supposed to write about the class problems inherent in a society formed around supporting tourism."

"Wow." Okay, Percy hadn't expected to be right. He just blinked and then took a seat beside Bobby. "What happens if you don't do it? You're already on the trip. It's not like your mom can take it back."

"She might not let us go next time though," Bobby explained. "And she'd get all disappointed and..." his voice trailed off.

Was it wrong of Caroline to go and sit by a boy who was clearly trying to appear studious? Probably. Unfortunately for Bobby, she just didn't care and she had to make sure he knew about the party later.

"I thought you said I should spend time on the beach!" Bobby protested, frowning a little at her.

"Um, do you see anyone else writing, Bobby?" If Jack wasn't going to set Bobby straight, Caroline might take it upon herself. "Besides, it's too nice to not look around at all the pretty people. The grindstone will sharpen itself or something."

"I um, don't want to stare at people," he mumbled, turning red as he looked down at his towel. Towels were good. Towels didn't have...lots of skin.

Percy was at the beach but he wasn't spending a lot of time on it. Nope, he was in the water at every turn, swimming as far out as he dared, having some idle conversations with the sea life and relaxing on the ocean floor.

It was good to be the son of Poseidon right now.

There was sand, there was water, there was Juliet -- with a huge hat to protect her from the sun and a stack of gossip magazines to keep her mind busy.

It was a glorious day, even if she was getting a wee bit bored reading about the Teen Moms.

"Hi, Juliet!" Sov was standing in the water, the waves soaking the edges of their folded up jeans. Yes, they were aware that the custom was not to wear much clothes when on the beach, but for someone from an ice age planet the sun here required wearing clothes and a sunhat. Even that didn't stop them from being lobster coloured with peeling skin. Neither stopped the good mood, luckily.

She was in Hawaii, so this was practically required. Emma was happily stretched out on a towel, basking in the sun and reading a mystery that she'd handwavily picked up from the Hawaiian lending library last night.

Sun, sunglasses, and swimsuit, and Emma was happily tanning before and after she went along on the Tidepool Education trip.

Sov was walking along the beach today, just like yesterday, wearing a sunhat, a large t-shirt and jeans. Despite the sunburn they were in a good mood and kicked playfully at the incoming waves.

The beach was nice. Squall watched and listened to the waves lapping against the sand, and enjoyed the feel of the sun on his skin.

Scully was going to miss this when they were gone. Going back to cold and snow was only going to be marginally bearable with spring in another few weeks.

So she was slathering on the sunscreen, and considering where she and Bruce might go for their date tonight.
