Kohala Coast, Hawaii | Morning & Afternoon | Tuesday | February 22nd

Everyone should feel sorry for the poor bastards left behind in Fandom where snow collected atop the ice that coated the ground overnight. But in Hawaii, everything was sunny, warm, and beautiful. It was paradise, and everyone there should take advantage!

She was distraught! She wasn't herself!

Well, and she knew that the pillow wouldn't really hurt Karla.

And, of course, it actually felt surprisingly good to be giggling and dodging and swatting at Karla with her pillow. Even as it started to tear and rain feathers down around them.

"Oh, the trials!" Karla said, between giggles, still flailing at Raven with the pillow. "The tribulations!" Thwap! "Oh, the humaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanity!"

They were so going to have to pay for the deposit on the room.

"Oh, the--" she inhaled a feather and started coughing a bit, which just made her laugh harder.

"You would be upset, too, if it were your clothes and you had a date tonight!" Raven accused, laughing and not at all denying her inner drama queen.

Had it been mentioned that Raven had been in the process of getting dressed when Karla had woken up, so she was currently only wearing her bra and panties? Which were black, of course. AS THEY SHOULD BE.

Whereas Karla was still dressed in her white nightgown--a slightly more abbreviated version of the type she usually wore in Fandom, in deference to the heat. They looked like two sides of a morality play, especially with the feathers in the air. ~~A sexy, sexy morality play.~~

"Woe is you," Karla deadpanned, sitting down on the edge of the bed to laugh. "Isn't this like one of your Rumor Gal storylines? To have an important date and nothing to wear?" She eyed Raven with a grin. "If you're really set on black, you can always wear what you've got on now."

YOU ARE WELCOME, JONO.

Raven flopped down on the bed, panting. Sexily.

"We are going up a mountain," she said. "If we were staying in, perhaps, but I would not let just anyone see me like this!" She blushed and held the deflated pillow to her chest.

Yeah. The deflated pillow wasn't doing a whole lot to hide. Raven had a significant amount of chest.

...Stupid comic books.

"You've got a cloak," Karla pointed out. "And are you going to actually climb the mountain? Or just teleport up there?"

If they were going to climb, Karla was going to have to suggest sensible footwear at the very least.

"And if you want to make Jono happy with that you're wearing, that would be it."

"There will be other people there!" Raven protested. "And I was going to use my cloak as something to put on the ground to lie down on." Which might be giving Karla the wrong idea about just what the night's activity was going to be.

"And Jono is not ready for something like that anyway," she added.

"Betcha if you showed up in that, he'd make an exception," Karla muttered. But, really, it wasn't a topic to tease about and so Karla dropped it. "How are you two doing?" she asked. "Better?"

"Better," Raven murmured, sighing and rolling over on to her back amongst the feathers. "We are going out tonight, as I have said, so...better."

She didn't want to drag the mood down, so she added lightly, "Though not so much as I think would warrant showing up at his door like this." Half-naked and covered with feathers.

Possibly, he might get the wrong idea and punch Warren.

Oh, he was just looking for an excuse to do that anyway.

"I suppose I could always call him on the phone and invite him here instead," Karla offered. "It's what any good friend would do."

Or just send him a mental snapshot...

...She meant 'good friend of Jono's.'

Raven eeped and frantically grabbed for the blanket off the bed to cover herself. "Karla!" she said. "You cannot do that!"

"I caaaaaan toooo~ooo!" Karla said, calling in her phone and waving it around at Raven. "In fact, I think I will!"

She dialed a number and held the phone up so Raven could hear it ringing. "Hey, Jono? It's Karla. Sorry to bother, but Raven would really like it if you came to our room right now."

On the other side of the phone, Karla's own voice was saying, "According to the explanation I have received, you will now leave your voice on this machine..."

"Karla! No!" Raven dove at her, grabbing for the phone.

This was going to end in a half-naked feather-covered tangle on the floor, wasn't it?

It really was the only possible outcome ~~especially when a pillowfight between Jono and Warren was on the line~~, yes.

"Raven, what's that?" Karla called, trying to keep the phone out of reach. "If Jono doesn't show up in the next two minutes, you're going to cry?! Ow! Hey! Cut it out!"

Laughing was making it very hard to mount an appropriate defense of her phone.

"Jono, do not listen to her!" Raven wailed, practically crawling up Karla to grab her phone.

Well, at least all Clothing Issues had been temporarily forgotten?

...In a manner of speaking, anyway. Karla was rather aware of certain other Clothing Issues--it was hard not to be with Raven's chest right there as she reached for Karla's phone.

"Hey! Stop it!" Karla cried, trying to squirm out from Raven's grasp. "I'm trying to have a personal conversation here! Leggo!"

"Give me the phone!" Raven pleaded, refusing to give up. She didn't appear to notice that she was squishing her chest against Karla. Envy the boobs, Karla. Envy them.

She did! She would!

...Just as soon as she could breathe again. Apparently, breasts could be heavy. Who knew?

Okay, well, she did seem to have plenty of breath for yelling defiance. "Nonononono!" she said, still waving her phone about. "S'miiiiiiiiiiine!"

It was a good thing Raven could heal herself continuously, or else she'd have a back problem. It was a wonder more superheroines didn't.

She decided to switch tactics to make Karla drop the phone. New plan? Ruthless tickling.

Probably a heretofore unknown property of spandex!

"Oh, this is just meeeeean!" Karla squealed, ineffectually flailing at Raven. There was no denying the empath had the upper hand in this battle, by simple virtue of outmassing Karla, possibly with breasts alone. "Cheeeeeeater! Nononono!"

She tried to tickle back, running her nails along Raven's exposed side, but she was handicapped by only having one hand. "Hurry, Jono, hurry!" she yelled towards the phone.

"Do not come, Jono, I am not dressed!" Raven cried.

Wait, was that supposed to discourage him?

She yelped as Karla's nails scratched down her side, but didn't let it stop her from finally catching hold of the phone to flip it closed.

Karla was just going to wait, grinning, for Raven to notice the number that was flashing on the screen as the call disconnected.

Because she was awesome that way.

It took a minute for the number to sink in. Raven stared, confused. "You called yourself!" she accused.

"Of course!" Karla said as if she hadn't just spent the last ten minutes trying to convince Raven otherwise. "To have called Jono would have been dreadfully mean. Just what kind of person do you take me for?"

Special. Hell.

Raven flopped on to her back on the floor with a groan of relief. "You are very mean, Karla," she said, though not angrily. "Perhaps one day I will have to do something similar to you."
