Atlantis Resort - Saturday Morning/Afternoon [Adventures]

The morning's rain meant that most of the outside activities had shut down until later in the afternoon, but that didn't mean there wasn't still plenty to do! With only two days left until the end of the week, do you really want to let the weather spoil your time at Atlantis?

"Exactly. Or maybe this is from a different civilization entirely! I've heard that happens sometimes."

"They'll totally have to change the name of the whole resort! People would be so upset, finding out that all of their photos are now mislabeled! And the poor management would be so embarrassed."

"I don't know. I mean, you'd have, like, collector's items, right? 'Mislabeled dig' stuff, or whatever."

"Well, yeah, but if you wanted mislabeled dig pictures you could just, like, make them up! People come here to see Atlantis. Oh, and the cute fish, of course!" She pointed back at the clown fish.

"But you couldn't get pictures with all the wrong signs just by labeling them," Jaime countered. "And, besides, I think it'd be okay just to remember the cute stuff, right?"

"It's always okay to remember the cute stuff!" She agreed. "Finding cute things is totally the best part of a vacation! Well, besides trips to the beach and to really great restaurants."

She held out her map to him. "Your turn! Where do we go next, Mr Awesome?"

"How about one of those aforementioned great restaurants?" Jaime suggested with a grin, turning Momoko slightly toward one of the signs pointing to the exit.

"Ahah!" She pretended to resist, because really, Momoko turn down food? "But the fish! And the ruins? So meeeeaaan, Jaime!"

"Well... you could stay here and wander around, but I'm getting pretty hungry." And he could go for a milkshake or some sort of fruit drink.

"You always threaten to leave me behind, you know that, mister?" She tucked the map into her bag with a grin, then reached to poke him in the side. "I am totally going to have to get some friends who won't leave me behind."

Jaime shied away from her poke slightly. "Hey, you know I'd never leave you behind."

"That is what they all say!" She grinned as they exited the habitat. "So, where are we going, anyway?"

"Do you have a favorite place?" Jaime asked. "I'm treating, after all."

Silly Jaime.

"Oh! Have you tried the Cave Grill yet? It's actually in a cave and it's really cool! Or there's the barbeque place, which is tasty, but not as exciting. Oh! Then there's the one near the temple... uhm... Shark something. And the pizza place, and Bimini Road has a delicious sorbet sampler, but I don't know about the other food. People were smiling, though, so that's usually a good sign."

She continued to rattle off almost every place that served food that was within walking distance of the hotel, including a few that were not usually frequented by tourists.

Stop her at any time.

Jaime decided to operate under a simple theory. The first one she named was her favorite so far, which was why it's first.

"Cave Grill it is, then."

It was just too hard to have a favourite when there was so many food choices and so many places to try! And who knew when she'd ever get a chance to come back?

But yeah, Cave Grill was kind of a favourite. Eating in a cave? Awesome. "If you've been, we can totally go somewhere else! Did you have someplace else in mind?"

"I haven't been, and eating in a cave does sound pretty awesome."

"What's the best thing there?" She'd probably been more than once already, after all.

She waved her hand. "Oh, it's hamburgers and salads and stuff. Normal food. It's totally the cave part that I like!"

"So, have you had a fun break? Or are you eager to get back to school and studying? Ah! Did you join any clubs, by the way? I totally forgot to ask."

"It's been really relaxing, but... I guess I am ready for some more classes. Though... I wouldn't mind another week off. And I sort of joined the Fraternity thing..." Not that he'd actually made it to a meeting yet, but...

"What about you?"

"I've got Flight club and I'm in the Gun club! So I can't wait to get back to those! I don't miss classes, though. Ugh. Oh! And more training sessions with Dinah. What does the Fraternity do?"

"Guy stuff?" That's what they'd said at the club fair, anyway. "And gun club? Really? I wouldn't have guessed that one."

"Uhm. Well, I kind of accidentally started in the Girls with Guns club. In one of my first classes, we were supposed to use a gun to shoot supernatural monsters and I didn't know how. My big sib taught Lion-o and me the basics and then I joined the club to get better! I'm totally good at it now, even if I don't like using them!"

She gave him a look. "What is 'guy stuff'?"

Momoko with a gun... "Remind me not to make you mad," Jaime grinned. "I don't want to get shot."

"And... you know. Guy stuff." Real helpful, Jaime.

"I borrow a gun from Triela for practicing; I don't have one of my own, so I totally couldn't shoot you!" Momoko shivered at both the thought of owning one and the memory of seeing someone shot with one. "I'd probably punch you, but I don't know that you could ever make me that mad. At least not when I'm really me." And really, she'd been more upset that time.

She pointed towards the sign for the restaurant. "And in case you didn't notice, I am not a guy. Is it like a club to play sports? Look at car magazines? Tell dirty jokes? Compare sweaty socks?" Talk about girls?

"I... might have noticed that, actually." Jaime was looking in every direction except at Momoko as he admitted that. Because, duh, it was obvious!

"And a little of all of those, I guess."
