Atlantis Resort - Saturday Morning/Afternoon [Adventures]

The morning's rain meant that most of the outside activities had shut down until later in the afternoon, but that didn't mean there wasn't still plenty to do! With only two days left until the end of the week, do you really want to let the weather spoil your time at Atlantis?

"I've got Flight club and I'm in the Gun club! So I can't wait to get back to those! I don't miss classes, though. Ugh. Oh! And more training sessions with Dinah. What does the Fraternity do?"

"Guy stuff?" That's what they'd said at the club fair, anyway. "And gun club? Really? I wouldn't have guessed that one."

"Uhm. Well, I kind of accidentally started in the Girls with Guns club. In one of my first classes, we were supposed to use a gun to shoot supernatural monsters and I didn't know how. My big sib taught Lion-o and me the basics and then I joined the club to get better! I'm totally good at it now, even if I don't like using them!"

She gave him a look. "What is 'guy stuff'?"

Momoko with a gun... "Remind me not to make you mad," Jaime grinned. "I don't want to get shot."

"And... you know. Guy stuff." Real helpful, Jaime.

"I borrow a gun from Triela for practicing; I don't have one of my own, so I totally couldn't shoot you!" Momoko shivered at both the thought of owning one and the memory of seeing someone shot with one. "I'd probably punch you, but I don't know that you could ever make me that mad. At least not when I'm really me." And really, she'd been more upset that time.

She pointed towards the sign for the restaurant. "And in case you didn't notice, I am not a guy. Is it like a club to play sports? Look at car magazines? Tell dirty jokes? Compare sweaty socks?" Talk about girls?

"I... might have noticed that, actually." Jaime was looking in every direction except at Momoko as he admitted that. Because, duh, it was obvious!

"And a little of all of those, I guess."

She sighed. "I'm totally going to have to get a bunch of girls together and crash one of the meetings to find out, aren't I?"

"Why? If you can't tell me what it is, how else will I ever find out?" She tried to look innocent. "It's not stuff we shouldn't see is it?"

"It's guy stuff!" Jaime exclaimed, as if that was a real argument.

"That's what you keep saying, but you don't say what that means!" She rolled her eyes in mock-frustration: her initial curiousity had easily given way to the fun of joking with him.

"I'd totally tell you if it was a girl club!" No, she wouldn't. "Don't you trust me?"

"Trust you?" Jaime repeated with an amused snort. "You're evil and use the eyes on me all the time." Well, not all the time, but...

"Jaime?" She stopped walking, reached out and touched his arm lightly. And used the sad eyes. "You mean... you don't trust me?"

Jaime made the mistake of glancing down and immediately squinched his eyes shut. "Don't do that!" he called, sounding just a bit desperate.

She laughed and looped her arm through his, walking a bit faster now as the restaurant came into sight. "At your next meeting, if you see a mysterious figure in a cloak hiding in the corner, it's not me, okay?"

"Maybe I'll buy that... if you promise never to use the eyes on me again." He bumped her shoulder playfully as she led the way.

She bumped back. "Oh, I couldn't promise! What if I desperately needed to use the? Like, uhm... To get you to help me! And... I'd lost my voice? How would you know if I couldn't use them then?"

"You're a clever girl, I'm sure you could come up with something less evil." Like... almost any other alternative imaginable.

Not that Jaime minded (really). Those eyes worked mostly because they were kind of mind-numbingly adorable.

"But I'm in a hurry! I only have a few seconds to let you know before the bad guy turns back around!"

It was her story, so there was totally a bad guy. Afterall, she'd never use the eyes for anything mundane, like, opening a pesky bag of snacks or reaching something up high...

"If there's a bad guy, you can totally take him out better than I can," Jaime pointed out with a fond grin. "So the only thing you'd need to look at me for is to warn me."

"Jaime! You're not following the right story!" She pouted and tugged on his arm. "I'm in danger in this one! Yours is a different one! I'd use different eyes for that kind of scene!"

"So... wait... how is this bad guy someone you're having trouble with but I can take out?" That was crazy!

"That's in the beginning." She waved her free hand airily. "I was taken by surprise and lost all of my powers or something. You're the hero in this story."

Jaime scoffed. "If you're relying on me to save you, I think you're going to be in trouble. I mean... me? A hero?"
