Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

"What exactly are you going to do?" Hurley said, stopping the song for a moment. "Fuuuunny but when you're neeeeear me," he continued.

"I have my methods," said Hoshi. She also had ear plugs in her bag, if necessary.

"So you're saying you don't like my singing?" Hurley said, hitting the button to call the elevator. "I'm hurt."

He mock-pouted.

"I'm just saying that I've heard some wounded animals that sound a lot better," joked Hoshi as she tapped her foot, waiting for the elevator.

"Wow, Hoshi," Hurley said, as the elevator dinged as it arrived. "Haaaaarsh."

He was loving every minute of this.

"You should know by now that I have a way with words," said Hoshi, stepping into the elevator and hitting the button for the ground floor. "You're probably lucky that I haven't switched to Russian yet."

"What happens when you switch to Russian?" Hurley said, innocent smile on his face. "You spit more?"

"Ask Gunther. I use Russian on him when he gets out of line. It's worked every since that time we tied him up and threw him in a closet," said Hoshi, looking very serious.

"...so now you're threatening to tie me up and throw me in a closet?" Hurley said, humming along with the elevator music. "This is getting kinkier and kinkier."

Hoshi, at a loss for words, simply glared at him.

Fortunately, the trip in the elevator did not last long. "So the beach is this way, I think," said Hoshi as the door opened. The sooner she got away from the elevator music, the better.

"Yep," Hurley said. He was probably a little too amused with himself right now. "And then it's on to sunny skies and soft sand. I, uhhh, brought sunscreen if you need it."

"Thanks, but wouldn't it have made more sense to put the sunscreen on upstairs before we got out here?" asked Hoshi.

"...Well, I mean, if you need to reapply it or anything," Hurley said. "I already got myself covered."

He didn't want to sound dumb around her. "You know?"

"I understand," said Hoshi, nodding. "I already put on my sunscreen before getting dressed. It seemed easier to do that without anything in the way."

Hurley nodded. "Yeah. That way you don't end up with weird tan lines and stuff," he said. "So, you really just gonna spend your time reading out here, huh?"

"Maybe? I heard that there was a casino here. I shouldn't let my poker skills get rusty," said Hoshi. "And do they really let you swim with dolphins?"

"I will totally go play poker with you," Hurley said. "As for the dolphins, I got no idea. I mean, it sounds cool. We could always check it out."

He may have been trying to turn this into a not-date.

"And you know what's missing from last year's spring break?" asked Hoshi as they reached the beach. She paused to take her sandals off so she could walk in the sand. "No one's gotten married yet. We should do something about that."

Hurley blinked a few times. "We should?" he said, unable to do anything but stare for a second.

His brain had short-circuited.

"See, Annja was so helpful with scouting out the wedding chapel last year. Between the two of us, we managed to find all the weddings taking place and record most of them," said Hoshi. "Maybe you could take the bars and I could watch the casinos tonight? And then we'd contact each other if someone spots a wedding."

Hey, it was a perfectly normal activity that Hoshi would plan with her female friends.

"Ohhhhh," Hurley said, actually breathing a sigh of relief. "I guess we could." Though that meant splitting up and going separate places. But, he thought, it might endear himself some more. So it was worth a shot.

"Deal. We should come up with codenames."

He started laying out the blanket in a good spot.

"That should probably be someone really loud. Any ideas?" asked Hoshi, setting her bag down. She reached to untie the knot of her sarong.
