Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

"So it would seem," Kate agreed with a grin. "And even your spring break roomie has already bought me a drink --" if mostly to have an excuse to check up on her without just... coming to check up on her "-- so we should probably make some plans, huh?"

"I'll even keep my wings hidden," Warren smirked, "since you're so convinced that seeing them means trouble."

How could anything possibly go wrong in the Bahamas?

"So, when can you pencil me into your little black book?"

"Oh my God, what is it with today and everyone trying to make me sound like I have a busy social life?" Kate wondered, chuckling.

Okay, so Hannibal had only tried to make her sound like a slut - except he hadn't, and she'd just misunderstood on purpose. Because she was like that, sometimes.

... Difficult. Not a slut. Ahem.

"Really, my schedule's wide open. So, tomorrow? Or Friday?"

"I don't see any reason to put it off until Friday," he decided, stretching out his arms (and his wings, though nobody would know unless they just happened to go running into them) and then offering Kate another grin. "Not when we can go ahead and do it tomorrow. My schedule is wide open too, after all."

"That's the beauty of being on vacation," she smirked. "No plans or obligations. Tomorrow it is, then."

"I'll pick you up, then," Warren replied. "And in the meantime, I'll scout around to see if anyone can recommend what they figure is the best black coffee in the Bahamas."

"Awesome." Kate approved of this plan. "And I'll... Okay, I'm not gonna do anything useful. I'll just frolic."

"In a bikini?"

Hey, she'd all but promised.

"In this bikini, no less," she snickered, pointing at what she was wearing ~~which the mun had been going on and on about all day until this thread where she got distracted by the winglessness omg~~.

It was a very nice black-and-red checkered bikini with a red sarong wrapped around her waist, and she did a quick twirl, because he wasn't the only one who could model stuff.

And here, Warren was going to demonstrate exactly how incorrigible he could be when his ego was being stroked by a bunch of positive attention on a beach.

"And do I get a demonstration?"

It really was a nice bikini!

"I'm not sure how frolicking could be demonstrated," Kate replied with an amused smirk. "And I'm not going to run around or jump up and down just so you can ogle me."

Even if there were things that would be vaguely bouncy if she did.

"It could be a team effort," Warren laughed, shrugging. "I could do something completely unheard of, like tell you that I'm about to start running after you. And if I catch you, I'm going to throw you into the water, there."

All said with a very big smirk, yes. Why not?

"Jesus, that is the single dumbest thing I have heard all week," Kate announced.

"Let's do it."

Warren took a moment to smile, and to nod, and to look more or less like he was doing important things like trying to gauge the distance to the water, and to Kate, and-- To hell with it! He was off and after her at a run, completely and entirely because he could.

It was entirely possible that he wasn't exactly built to be a runner, per se, but that wasn't going to stop him from putting forth his best effort.

Kate, on the other hand, had a dancer's legs, to some extent, which meant she wasn't entirely without running power, and could maybe theoretically outrun him, shooting him glances over her shoulder and laughing as she ran along the beach.

But she'd spent some time in the sun already, and she'd had a few drinks, and then there was that slight vibe of wanting to get caught, so...

She was likely to end up in the water, yep. But she wasn't going to make it too easy for him.

Well, where would the fun be, if she made it easy for him? Warren was just fine with the view from behind as he tripped his way after her through the sand. And, he mused to himself, what he was lacking in land speed he'd probably manage to make up in stamina.

He would run until she let him catch her or until he managed to wear her down. And then, when he managed to catch up to her? He was totally going to try to scoop her up into his arms and march her right out toward the water.

Kate ran for what she herself actually considered a pretty impressive time.

But then the impracticality of running while wearing a sarong caught up with her, and a struggle with that pesky piece of clothing lost her her lead.

So, she found herself scooped up, and making a feeble show of struggling while out of breath and still laughing.

"And now," Warren mused as he made his way from the sand to the shoreline, "the question is, how deep should I take you before I let you go?"

The answer, of course, was just deep enough to not hurt her when he dropped her, without having to worry about soggy wings.

He wasn't going to elaborate on this as he started to wade outward, though.

"Should I be saying something like 'put me down right now, you brute'?" Kate wondered.

Failing at playing the victim, yes. But not failing at squirming.

"Right now?" Warren was being totally smug now, yes. Why shouldn't he be? He was running around in public wearing nothing but a pair of swim trunks, with a particularly cute girl in his arms. "Whatever you say, Kate."

She had to know what was about to happen now, right? Now that he was up to his hips in the water, that it was totally okay for him to just go right on ahead and dump her in?

Kate made decent splash as she fell in, kind of mid-flail and and with an incoherent screech that was probably something about how he could do this to his fake step-sister.

And of course she got absolutely soaked, as was evident when she got back to her feet, trying to get her wet hair off her face so she could see.

Warren was looking as cocky as ever as he leaned forward and reached a hand out to help her get the hair from her eyes.

"You know, 'wet in a bikini' is totally a good look for you too."

Oh, he was just asking for it.

So completely asking for it.

"Yeah? Let's see how well the wet look suits you," Kate said, going to grab a hold of his arm – as it was still the only thing she had a clear view of – with the intention of yanking it in the hopes that he'd lose his balance and topple into the water.

Because you couldn't just wade hip-deep into water and expect to not get wet.

Warren probably would have stood a chance if it wasn't for the fact that it had been since he was maybe six since someone had last tried to drag him underwater at the beach.

There was flailing. And, yes, even flapping that registered mostly as inexplicable splashing in the waves not far off. And then a somewhat spectacular splashdown.

And by the time Warren managed to surface, he was laughing and sputtering and looking not unlike a... Well, not unlike a perfectly normal if slightly wet boy in a swimsuit.

"I had that coming to me, didn't I?"

"You so, so did," Kate confirmed with a nod and a smirk. Then she tilted her head to the side, going for innocence. "But it's okay. You look good wet, too."
