Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

"I'm sorry, that's confidential information."

"Meanie," he said and flicked more sand at her.

She rolled her eyes. Which was pointless with the shades on. "How is that mean?"

"Keeping secrets from your friend!" he pointed out. "That's mean. There should be no secrets!"

Kate looked sceptical. "I'm pretty sure that's a rule for marriages."

"...we could get married." He did not even remotely mean. "I bet we can find a priest. Kate King does have a certain ring to it."

Snort. "Too many K's. No thanks."

"Are you insulting my last name?" he asked, shocked. "Really Kate, that's my name. You're cruel."

"No, I'm insulting the combination of my first name with your last name," Kate pointed out. "Babe, we both know I'd start talking about your first name, if I wanted to insult your name."

"Hey, hey," he said, putting a hand on his heart and wincing. "Let's leave my awful first name out of things. I know it's awful, you know it's awful, it doesn't need anymore of a beating, babe."

"At least you got a name with some personality," Kate said, shrugging. "I'm still not over how my parents decided to call me Kate, and Moosh got to be Marshall." Beat. "And I don't even like the name Marshall."

"Is it short for Katherine or anything like that?" he wondered. "You could be Kathy."

"Just plain Kate. Wouldn't like to be Kathy either, though," she replied, shaking her head. "Basically, I was given a name that's already in itself a nickname. It's somehow led to me not having too many nicknames. Moosh has a ton of them."

Not that it bothered her too much.

"I could call you Kiki," he said, grinning a little.

"You could," she allowed, "but I might have to hurt you."

Maybe she didn't have many nicknames because she was just too picky.

"You couldn't hurt me." He shook his head. "What about...Kayak?"

Good one there, Hannibal.

"I am not a type of canoe, Hannibal."

And Hannibal barely held the first dirty thing that wanted to come out before laughing it off. "Kiwi!"

"Okay, now you're just listing words that start with a K," Kate felt compelled to point out.

"Well, yeah." Hannibal laughed and shrugged. "I almost said Kooky. And then Cootie. You're lucky I didn't get there."

"I'm not sure I'm all that lucky when you said it now anyway," she remarked. "I think I'll just stick with Katie."

"And babe," he reminded her. "That one too."

"And babe," she nodded with a smirk. "And bitchcakes, only not so much anymore."

"Bitchcakes?" he repeated, snickering. "Tasty. I've always wanted to know a bitchcake."

She finished her drink. "Well now you do. It was a thing, with some friends back home."
