Atlantis Resort - Wednesday [Rooms & Activities]

As the sun rose over the Bahamas, it brought with it all the signs of rain...

Oh, who are we kidding? It was another warm and sunny day here at Atlantis, and with everything at the resort reset and ready, all that was needed were guests ready to go out and have an amazing day.

"I am not a type of canoe, Hannibal."

And Hannibal barely held the first dirty thing that wanted to come out before laughing it off. "Kiwi!"

"Okay, now you're just listing words that start with a K," Kate felt compelled to point out.

"Well, yeah." Hannibal laughed and shrugged. "I almost said Kooky. And then Cootie. You're lucky I didn't get there."

"I'm not sure I'm all that lucky when you said it now anyway," she remarked. "I think I'll just stick with Katie."

"And babe," he reminded her. "That one too."

"And babe," she nodded with a smirk. "And bitchcakes, only not so much anymore."

"Bitchcakes?" he repeated, snickering. "Tasty. I've always wanted to know a bitchcake."

She finished her drink. "Well now you do. It was a thing, with some friends back home."

"You're full of surprises, Kiki." Yes, that was on purpose. Come on. "That's probably why I like you."

She had to raise her shades just give him a look for the name.

"I keep hearing that, lately."

"So, start believing it," he said, settling down on his back and closing his eyes. "Probably means it's true."

"I didn't say I don't believe it," she pointed out, lowering the sunglasses again. "Although none of the surprises are surprises to me. Would be weird if they were."

"Well, yeah," he agreed, making a face. "Stop being difficult, babe. Lay back and relax."

"I'm just being precise." She did flop back down onto her back next to him, though.

"Well, stop that and be pretty with me," he told her. "It's fun."

"I think I can do that," she chuckled. "Kinda comes naturally to us, doesn't it?"

"Awesome when that happens, isn't it?" he agreed with a nod. "Everyone else should be jealous."

"You know what? I think they probably are," she decided.

"Then, we're awesome," he said and, yes, held up a hand for a high five. Dorky or not, he was doing it.

Kate could do a high five. There were special circumstances. Dorky things were far better than dark things, and there were plenty of dark things around.

It was kind of a lazy high five, but at least she did it. "We are awesome."

"And no one should forget it," he said triumphantly.

"We should shout it from the rooftops," she mused. "Only not really, because that requires more energy than just lying here does."

"Instead, we can lay here and just give off the vibe," he suggested lazily.

"Yeah," she agreed, adjusting first her shades and then one of her shoulder straps. "That should be enough. We're on vacation, after all."
