Atlantis Resort - Tuesday [Nightlife]

Once the sun had gone down at Atlantis, it was time for the real fun to begin. The DJs had their music prepared, the bar was fully restocked, and the casino was more than ready to take everyone's money. Tonight would not be the night to go to bed early...unless you had someone to join you.

Jack considered whether he should pass it off as a coincidence, or if he should try to explain the Mitchell/Lauren connection. He wasn't comfortable with it himself, and he doubted Rose would do any better, so --

"I think it was a hangout for them," he said quietly, and changed the topic. "I did something stupid, Rose. I tried to talk to the bad vampire instead of helping the girl who was dying. George helped her, but -- maybe I would have done something better."

He figured he should get to know Sookie a little better.

Elena took a seat on the beach near Rose.

"Hanging in there?" she asked. "This place is certainly good for eye candy."

Hoshi opened her mouth to say something, then stopped to think, and finally managed to come up with a response.

"But that doesn't have anything to do with this universe," she pointed out. "I mean, we're not dating, so you are not robbing the cradle, right?"

She took a sip of her drink, then chuckled. "Though I have to admit, I have always liked older men," said Hoshi, thinking of Captain Archer back in her own universe.

"I can do it now," Tara said. "Just -- make sure it works first, right? S-so if it, um, doesn't go all that well, you can just go to your room and sleep it off. And if it works and you order a couple supplies, I can redo it whenever you want."

"I'm good," Elena said, taking a drink. "I'm talking about all of it. The waves, the water, the half-naked men, the alcohol ... okay, that last one's not eye candy, but it's great, anyway."

After a moment she added, "I'm ... better than I have been in a while, I think."

"Cause you're a doctor?" Rose pointed out, an edge of sympathy in her voice. "Where was Kate? And what the hell were you doing talking to someone who just killed a girl?"

She took a breath, trying to channel Dimitri.

"I'm pretty sure you'd enjoy it," Zayne said optimistically. "So you've spent time with the sharks? How was that?"

There were kinds of sharks in their galaxy, so Zayne hadn't been as interested in checking them out. But he could be convinced.

"I like being here. I mean, it's easier for me to be myself," Mulan explained. "Technology is getting a little easier, too. But I do miss home. I'll have to return for a visit soon."
