Atlantis Resort - Tuesday [Nightlife]

Once the sun had gone down at Atlantis, it was time for the real fun to begin. The DJs had their music prepared, the bar was fully restocked, and the casino was more than ready to take everyone's money. Tonight would not be the night to go to bed early...unless you had someone to join you.

"I was just thinking... hypothetically," Hurley said, sipping his drink to hide his smile at the whole 'liking older men' bit. Yes, he thought that could apply to him, too.

"Not that I've been thinking about anything like that a lot. Or anything."

Smooooooth.

"Okay. That's good to know," said Hoshi, though she looked and felt rather awkward. She gulped down the rest of her drink in one shot and waved the empty glass at the bartender.

Hurley definitely felt the awkward vibe and decided they needed to power through it.

"So who's your lucky roommate this trip?" he asked, sipping his drink.

"Kate Gregson. Oddly enough, we only seem to get a chance to talk on trips like these," said Hoshi.

The bartender returned with a second drink for Hoshi and pointed at another NPC guest at the end of the bar who'd sent it.

Hurley eyed the dude at the end of the bar. A little unfriendly like.

"Huh, guess you have an admirer," he said.

"Wow. This is kind of cool, isn't it?" said Hoshi, giving a smile and a wave to the nice guy at the end of the bar.

"So, who's your roommate?" she asked, turning back to Hurley.

"Mulan," Hurley said, indicating her with a thumb. He did not think it was cool. He felt a little like his masculinity was being tested. Stupid older guy.

"She's cool. And handling the whole 'rooming with a dude' thing really well."

He'd have to make a play. Just a subtle one. "I'm guessing that's not the dude that bought you flowers, though."

"I should probably go introduce myself," said Hoshi before taking a sip of her drink. She meant Mulan, but left her words open to interpretation.

"And I'm fairly certain he's not a student at Fandom High, so I don't think he sent me those flowers. Actually, he looks a little old be a student anyway. Don't you think so?"

Oh. That sort of older men, Hurley thought.

"Well, yeah. And I think we'd recognize any students around. So I guess you could go... introduce yourself, if you want. I mean, no reason not to go have fun, right?"

He instantly wondered why he said that.

"And we were just talking about how I needed to have some fun," said Hoshi. "I'll go say hi and thank him for the drink. So, are we on for the beach tomorrow? Where and when should we meet?"

"Uhhh, I'll grab a blanket and meet you at your hotel room?" Hurley said, hiding his disappointment she was going off right now. "Like... ten or so?"

He'd remember the blanket, too. Bad things happened when he forgot blankets.

"I'll be looking forward to it," said Hoshi, giving Hurley a warm smile.
