Atlantis Resort - Tuesday [Rooms & Activities]

The skies over Atlantis were clear and bright with just a few puffy white clouds to give that feeling of perfection in the very air. In the night, the resort had been reset, everything fresh and new, from smooth beaches to full buffets. Whatever the Fandomites hearts desired was there and ready for the taking!

After some time on the beach, Didi decided to hit the multiplex and take in February 14.

It might not be, strictly speaking, a good movie, but it was cute and fuzzy and made her happy. Love stories were always fun.

Lagoon Bar and Grill

The early morning hours meant Alex wasn't going to be waking himself up with an invigorating run on the beach or something stupid like that. Nope, he was going to find his way to another open air restaurant (http://www.atlantis.com/dining/casualdining/lagoonbarandgrill.aspx) where he could sit by the water, drink in hand, sunglasses on and relaxation evident.

It was amazing how fucking content he felt. He didn't think this feeling would last but he wasn't going to argue with how he felt right now.

Library

It was a little bit shocking that Rory hadn't found the library sooner. As soon as she did, she ended the call with her mother (instructing her that under no circumstances was Miss Patty allowed to set Juliet up with a boy), and found herself a chair and a book she hadn't read.

This was how she'd spend the afternoon. Poor Lorelai might even get a break.

Marina

It wasn't too hard to find a sailboat for rent in the Marina. The tricky part was convincing the owner that Gibbs didn't need someone to sail it for him.

Apparently that required an additional security deposit which is what Gibbs was grumbling about under his breath while he loaded the boat with provisions as he waited for Alex.

"I'm surprised at you," Alex said, by way of greeting. She'd skipped her usual tailored suits in favor of a simple sleeveless top and a wrap-around skirt. "This boat actually moves."

She actually loved helping him with his boat in the basement, but that didn't mean she couldn't tease him, did it?

"Funny," Gibbs smirked as he offered her a hand to help her onto the boat. "I thought there was something different about this. Glad you pointed that out."

"There even seems to be water out here," she added, taking his hand and stepping carefully onto the boat. And leaning up to greet him with a kiss. "I heard some people put boats out on water, but that sounds like crazy talk."

[identity profile] famous-gut.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"You know, I have sailed boats before," he said in an amused fashion after he returned the kiss. "It just takes a while to get them into the water. I just like taking my time."

You know. Like years.

"Wasn't that a Pointer Sisters song?" Alex asked, grinning. "Needing a man with a sloooow hand."

She ran a hand through her hair as she set down her oversize bag. "Sunscreen?" she offered, pulling the bottle out and inspecting the label. "I got everywhere I could reach, but I'll need help with my back."

Re: Marina

[identity profile] famous-gut.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"The Pointer Sisters sang about boats?" Gibbs joked as he took the bottle of sunscreen and gestured for her to turn around. "I don't remember those songs."

Re: Marina

[identity profile] glasses-justice.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"It was subtle," Alex said. She grabbed the hem of her top and pulled it up over her head. Which was not as scandalous as it may have seemed, since she had a swimsuit on underneath. "You had to read between the lines, but all the symbolism was there if you knew what to look for."

Re: Marina

[identity profile] famous-gut.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ah. Yes. Symbolism," Gibbs said in a way that sounded knowing while still conveying he had no idea what he was talking about.

Now applying sunscreen to a beautiful woman's back? That he knew how to do.

"We're still talking about boats right?"

[identity profile] glasses-justice.livejournal.com 2010-02-23 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"We might be," Alex laughed. "This one is particularly nice. Maybe we steal it, go live in the Caribbean as outlaws for a couple of years."

Said the prosecutor, to the NCIs agent.

"I dunno," Gibbs chuckled as he rubbed lotion on her shoulders. "I don't think we have enough sunscreen."

Re: Marina

[identity profile] glasses-justice.livejournal.com 2010-02-24 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
"And I'm too pale to tan well," Alex sighed. "Should we knock over a beachfront store? If we're going on the run, we ought to work up some felonies first."

She leaned back into his touch, not minding much if they ever got onto the water. He had very nice hands.

Gibbs's hands slid down Alex's shoulders to encircle her waist. "For an ADA you seem pretty eager to take on a life of crime," Gibbs noted as he leaned in to give her a quick kiss on her neck.

Re: Marina

[identity profile] glasses-justice.livejournal.com 2010-02-24 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Witness protection is getting to me," she joked. "If I have to live on the lam, there should be perks involved. I ever tell you I had to investigate a guy for assault when he was in the program? That was a nightmare."

Alex, apparently, couldn't stop talking shop for very long. At least she was covering his arms with her own and leaning back into the embrace.

[identity profile] famous-gut.livejournal.com 2010-02-24 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Like Gibbs ever minded talking shop. Or hanging out with a beautiful woman.

"Can't say I remember that one," Gibbs replied quietly in her ear. "I do recall a case where I had to talk down a kid from blowing up a school so he could talk to his mom that everyone thought was dead... but was in the witness protection program. Poor kid didn't know which way was up."

If she leaned back, she could nip at his jaw. Vacation was fabulous. They should take time off more often.

That was one part of the job she didn't miss -- the way it was entirely too hard to make herself pull away for a few days to do something trivial, when she had important cases. But all her cases were important. She went years without enough sleep.

"Did he know his mom was in the program?" she murmured. "Why wouldn't he have been placed with her?"

Not counting stays in the hospital or his "retirement" this was Gibbs first true vacation in over... well it was a long time.

And as Alex nipped at his jaw, Gibbs very well agreed that vacation was a wonderful thing. Except for that laying around and doing nothing part.

"Kid thought she was dead for his own protection," Gibbs said softly as he pulled her a little closer. "Father had no idea either. The mother was a key witness for some drug ring murder."

Let's face it. Talking shop was hot

Biff had not learned to play real golf when the angel had been leading him through all the things he believed a modern human needed to know (somehow the angel had still forgotten things like shoes...), but he figured it couldn't be much different than miniature golf that he had been taught.

Halfway through the third hole, there was a frustrated apostle cursing in Aramaic as yet another ball bounced into the rough.

Of course Ben had to try this. He, being the good, regulation following type, even allowed them to strap the safety harness onto him.

Somehow he didn't think that his example of being launched into space in order to infiltration a planet-sized space station was going to go over well as a reason why he would be fine, really, going up a little rock wall.

Once he got going, of course, he was trying to set some sort of speed record for getting to the top of the thing.

Hoshi had managed to leave her room today. Even though she brought the book with her, she was enjoying a tropical drink. Someone was finally getting into a spring break state of mind.

Momoko was eating... in a cave! She was absolutely and totally in love with this vacation!

She was enjoying a nice light (for her) lunch and some people-watching before doing some more exploring. She was also totally smiling at anyone who smiled at her.

It was just that kind of day!
