Atlantis Resort - Tuesday [Rooms & Activities]

The skies over Atlantis were clear and bright with just a few puffy white clouds to give that feeling of perfection in the very air. In the night, the resort had been reset, everything fresh and new, from smooth beaches to full buffets. Whatever the Fandomites hearts desired was there and ready for the taking!

"Cruel to do to them," Alex said, shaking her head. "Glad my mom knows I'm alive. I had to fight for that. Fighting the feds for jurisdiction is almost as bad as --"

As fighting the military, but it seemed more judicious to steal a quick kiss and laugh, and let him fill in the blanks.

"Kissing former agents from NCIS?" Gibbs joked as he nodded his head in the direction of the water. "Want to set sail? It's perfect weather for a little trip."

"That's always a chore," she laughed. "So, tell me where you want me. If you're not superstitious about having a woman be first mate."

"I'm not that supersititous," Gibbs said as he reluctantly let go of Alex to go and pull off the lines from the dock and push off into the water. "And you tell me. You ever sail before?"

"Gibbs," Alex said, in mock-reproval. "What sort of spoiled rich kid would I be if I never went sailing?"

She climbed easily up onto the rigging and began unfurling one of the sails.

Gibbs watched her for a moment before breaking out into laughter. "Well, hell. Then you can sail this boat while I just sit back and rink beer."

"Making me do all the work?" Alex teased. "Now that's just selfish. You know what they say about guys like you?"

For his part Gibbs was already cracking open a beer as the sail began to catch some wind. He grabbed a hold of the rudder and began to steer the boat out of the marina.

"We're complete bastards?"

He'd been called that several times.

"They're less likely to get lucky," she grinned. "I mean, if you're okay with that, then I don't mind sailing. Enjoy your beer."

"Does steering count as sailing?" Gibbs joked. "Or is that the same as just watching you do all the work?"

Alex had to pretend to consider this.

"I'm inclined to be lenient," she said, "since you did bring the beer. Let's get out on the open water, and then you can remind me of your other good qualities."

"Well that might be a problem," Gibbs grinned. "Not sure I have any."

"I'm sure you can come up with a few," Alex laughed. "Any interesting talents I don't know about? Can you juggle, or play the flute?"

Finally getting the boat out of the Marina, Gibbs set the rudder on a course parallel to the shore as he moved up to help Alex with the said.

"Not that much of a musician," Gibbs admitted. "Though I'm a fairly good handyman."

"I know you're good with your hands," Alex said, innocently. Really. "So how long do we have this boat?"

Re: Marina

Gibbs gave her a small chuckle. "Oh. The day. And night. Maybe part of tomorrow. It was a very loose rental agreement."

"Gives us a head-start," she grinned. "If we decide to go on the lam."

Or she could lean up and kiss him again. That seemed like a better idea, didn't it?

That did seem like an excellent idea.

A very excellent idea.

"Or... we could just weigh anchor at a quiet spot."

"We could," she agreed. "I'm going to hope you brought food, if you're going to keep me out here that long."

She had a feeling they'd need food, with all the calories they'd be burning.

"Oh. You know," Gibbs shrugged. "Beer. Peanut butter and jelly."

And whatever it was the guys down at the restaurant had thrown into the styrofoam containers he had stashed below.

"Always the classy one," she teased. "Tell me something. If I hadn't dragged you down here, to the Bahamas, would you really have stayed back on the island, in the snow?"
