Atlantis Resort - Monday [Rooms & Activities]

Monday brought more sunshine and blue skies to the imposing Atlantis resort. The beaches laid open and welcoming, the drinks were fruity, and the people were already milling around in the sun. A thousand bottles of suntan oil popped open - it's the Bahamas, and paradise is just the word of the day. Enjoy yourself.

Royal Towers

Welcome to the Royal Towers guest rooms featuring a French balcony, moddable King bed or two Queen beds, a sitting area with television, safe, service bar, and full access to room service. Upgrades have been provided to the chaperones, allowing them some additional luxury in the larger Regal Suites

Spending all of his first day on the beach tended to zap a guy of his energy. All that sun, you know. And it wasn't like the hotel wasn't awesome because it was. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he should get up, go enjoy himself but that could wait.

Dozing lightly and doing some decidedly unmanly cuddling was the perfect start to the first full day of vacation.

Kyle was up pretty early and gearing up for another day checking out the immediate area. He'd noticed the shorts and loud shirts yesterday and managed to get himself appropriate clothes. Sadly, they really didn't go well with the very sensible shoes and socks he was currently pulling on. Habits were hard to break.

Jaina woke up too early for vacation, and almost wishing her comlink would go off or something so it'd give her a reason to be awake. Also, stuff to do in downtime.

So after showering and getting dressed, Jaina sat back on her bed to compose an Email, figuring that should take up some time before she could show her face outside without anyone bugging her about being up early.

They hadn't even changed time zones, so the only thing Kennedy could blame for waking up so early in the morning was being used to doing just that. Of course, that begged the question of whether she should get up and go work out (yes, the gym had been one of the first things she'd looked for yesterday) because it was what she did, or stay here, because... vacation. And really, really nice pillows.

Working out was not winning at the moment.

She'd called Dinah to get her help with the whole thing, but that still didn't mean she was looking forward to it.

Hoshi spent the day in her room studying. Someone was having trouble understanding that spring break really meant taking a break from studying.

The view form the balcony was really soothing during those study breaks, though.

Atlantis Beach

Endless miles of white sand beach stretch as far as the eye can see. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and bar-side swings are available to all guests of Atlantis.

Ender made it down to the beach early in the morning, while dawn had barely even touched the sky. He'd brought a light blanket with him for the occasion, and sat.

He had his laptop with him, of course, but he was mostly here to give free reign to his thoughts.

Jonas had spent most of his yesterday in the water park so he was sporting a light tinge of pink. He remembered, though, to slather himself with sunscreen before heading to the beach.

Now that he was here, he was finding himself fascinated with digging his toes in the sand and watching the water wash over them to interrupt all his hard work.

Sand wasn't so bad under bare feet when it was sand like this, and it sure as kriff beat having to wear boots back in the cold in Fandom right now. Other things that were nice: not having to constantly be on guard against herself, like she had been on the Kellerman's trip.

Really, even with Alex for a roommate, Tahiri hadn't felt this good in a long time. She'd found herself a spot on the sand, stretched out on a towel in a one-piece suit -- no bikinis for her, thanks, not where non-Fandom people might wonder about some of the scars -- and gazed out at the water.

The beach had always been a peculiarity for her, but it was doubly fascinating now: for the girl who'd grown up in Tatooine's endless deserts, and the girl who'd grown up in a worldship crossing the intergalactic void. It was fascinating, and beautiful, for two completely different reasons that didn't cancel each other out. She'd be happy to lie here all day and watch it, if no one stopped her.

Slathered down with sunblock and wearing a t-shirt and shorts over her swimsuit, Tara laid down on her towel. She had a paperback open in front of her, but mostly she was letting herself get lost watching the waves. She'd take a dip soon.

Still half drunk from yesterday (and what a good first day of vacation it was), Alex did manage to make it out to the beach today. He didn't know how long he'd stay but, after pulling his shirt off and settling his sunglasses on his nose, he found himself glad he'd come out there.

Towel spread out on the sand, he took a seat and tucked an arm under his head, using both the position and the sunglasses to subtly watch people as they passed.

Jaime had spent all of Sunday recovering from the weekend with his family. With only a couple of days, they'd really packed in the catching-up time. His dad had even closed the shop for a day.

Then, when he'd woken up this morning, he'd thought about moping. He missed them already. Even Milagro. Jaime had even started to feel like he'd made the wrong choice coming on the trip.

Which is when he remembered that he was in the Bahamas. There were beaches. And there were bikinis. So he'd headed down to the beach in a pair of swim trunks to take in the scenery.

Mmm.... scenery.

Mat had a lounge chair, a light scarf around his neck, his wide brimmed hat pulled low over his eyes, and a pair of the brightest board shorts ever to exist.

He was alternating between napping and admiring the scenery.

Effy wasn't stupid enough to sit her pale self out in the full sun, first full day here, but she'd found herself a spot under an umbrella to lounge and warm herself on a towel on the sand.

She had a drink, a book, and was enjoying both, and the excuse to lounge around in her swimsuit and sunglasses. Never got that much use out of either back home.

Aphrodite smiled and sighed contentedly, staring out at the sandy beaches and blue water. For a moment the urge to go swimming was strong, but she shook her head. She wasn't here for lounging.

She turned her head as Max came up beside her, his hands curled around three cups. 'Dite answered his easy grin with one of her own. "You didn't really have to bring us coffee, Max, but thank you."

She called Lorelai again to check on Juliet before really relaxing. Just in case.

Aravis was back on the beach, at least for the morning, and found herself wandering down to the slightly wet sand, where she could still play in the water a bit, and started to construct a sand castle. With any luck, it would be a decent likeness of Castle Anvard.

Hungry enough to actually venture out and get food, Angela decided that the Marketplace would be the best place to get something she could actually eat.

And when she saw all that was there, she was left quietly grumbling, "There's nothing I want to eat here." Where was the cameraman to complain to when she needed him?
