Kellerman's Resort, Tuesday Morning and Afternoon, October 13th

The weather at Kellerman's continued to be favourable, as the autumn sun shone down on the fields and streams of the area. The staff of the resort were busy but happy to help, bustling through the corridors and courtyard.

The boards outside were advertising a white water rafting trip today, for anyone willing to go out and risk the rapids; for the less adventurous, a trip to see the Cascade Falls might just do the trick.

In ordinary circumstances, Arthur would not have much of an issue with Merlin trying to get him out of his swimwear. However, when those circumstances involved something cooked up in Merlin's demented brain, they could hardly be termed ordinary.

"Then what are you spluttering about?" he asked. His squint was turning into a full-blown stare.

Arthur eyed him. "Merlin," he said, "What is it."

"I'll just go wash it," Merlin said, reaching for the sides of said suit. Really now, he dressed Arthur on a regular basis. This wasn't weird at all.

"Merlin," Arthur started, batting at his hands - because, again, while generally nudity in such circumstances would be encouraged, right now he wasn't too sure Merlin hadn't just taken a bump upside the head and come out more addled than ever before, "While your solicitousness is heartwarming, if mindbogglingly surprising, I will be fine."

"No, no! It wouldn't do at all for you to run about in dirty clothing," Merlin insisted, holding on tightly.

"Did you perhaps take a particularly unfortunate blow to the head this morning?" Arthur asked, staring at him, "Let go, damn you."

"I'm just--" Tugging on it now. "--trying to help."

Arthur shot him a thoroughly unamused look, raised his hand, and moved to give him a proper shove. "If you keep this up, I am going to smack you."

"You would not!" So, so would, Merlin.

He tugged harder, gaining a faint ripping noise as it just started to tear.

"Merlin," he snapped - oh, someone was going to have to deal with a mood for the rest of the day, here - and reached to snag his neckerchief.

And tug on it. Hard. "You will let go of me. Now."

"Letting go," Merlin squeaked, dropping his hands now that the swimsuit was ruined.

Arthur let go of the neckerchief rather abruptly. "What in the name of God has gotten in to you," he said, staring.

And then glanced down at his swimsuit, ruined to the point of possibly showing far too much to the world - not that Arthur felt that meant there was any need for him to get self-conscious, considering - and back up at Merlin. "...You ripped my swimwear."

Arthur's eyes narrowed. Big time.

He stood up, in the process proving that the swimsuit was, indeed, thoroughly ruined. "An accident."

"...yes." Merlin kept his eyes carefully up at Arthur's face.

Arthur loomed. It was something he was fairly good at, even when it involved people taller than him. "An accident," he repeated. Hello, glowering. "If you wanted me to get naked, you just could have asked," he added.

It was not a particularly conversational tone.

"I--Um---" Merlin blinked and then swallowed, glancing down the once. "Um."

Arthur's eyebrow went up once. "You're getting me a new one," he said.

After graciously granting him another moment. "Or I will be taking yours."

"My what?" That finally got his eyes back up.

This was probably not doing Merlin any favours. Eyes-wise.
