The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

"Not a good one for you, as well?" Fraser asked. "I'm surprised you didn't rip your office up."

"I have some self control," Wade replied sulkily. "And getting your arm blown off is a pretty good mood killer too."

"...I bet," Fraser said slowly. "Robin just came close to tears a few times. I kept my arms."

"I find it best to just pretend it neeeeever happened."

"That's difficult to do but at least it went away and was followed by a very nice break?" Fraser tried.

"Complete with the elderly and those on honeymoons!" Wade replied. "So. Were you here to get your ass kicked at shuffleboard?"

"Not really," he said and eyed the shuffleboard setup. "I was just passing by. Trying to get out and not stay in my room and all that."

Wade waggled the stick at him, like that was supposed to tempt him. "I'll even buy you a drink."

"Oooh, Wade, your stick shaking is impressive," he teased. "I don't know how to play shuffleboard."

"Dirty. It's like curling without the ice! Or sweepers. Or fun."

A beat.

"It's better after a few drinks."

"Aren't you playing with your new friends?" Fraser asked, gesturing to the older crowd.

"They think I'm a talkative mime or something," Wade explained, waving at them. "So... I expect a tip from you to keep this illusion up."

"They think you're a mime?" Fraser asked, unable not to laugh.

"Well, I'm sure the bright red outfit and flirting with the lovely Bea Arthur lookin' ladies doesn't help..."

"Wade, stop that, you're a taken man," he teased.

Wade just preened a bit. "I can hardly help being so sexy."

"Did your flirting have any success?" he asked. "Did any of them supply you with a phone number?"

"I think one of them gave me a room key," Wade said, holding it up. "But I'd need a few more drinks before that."

Fraser raised his eyebrows and had to turn away to prevent himself from laughing. He turned back around and said, "Apparently one of them enjoys mimes."

"Or my sweet ass!"

...

"...can we pretend I didn't say that?"

"Yes," Fraser said hurriedly and shot a look around the deck to see if anyone was in fact glancing at Wade's...rear. "Yes, we can. You're a very expressive mime."

Only one of them was. Damn old people.

"Mimes are just one step away from clowns," Wade informed him. "And clowns are the purest form of all evil."

"Show me how to play this game," Fraser said, deciding to stick around just in case the old people ganged up on poor Wade.

Hells yeah! Wade so won him over with it.

"Like, I said, it's a bit like curling. You want to get the disc dealie over there."

"Can I see a demonstration?" Fraser requested.
