The Crown Princess - Monday [Ship/Princess Cays, Bahamas]

Early in the morning, the cruise director came over the loudspeaker announcing the port of the day and some on-boat activities of interest. Those paying attention would learn that from 9am until 5pm, the Crown Princess would be docked in the lovely Princess Cays, Bahamas where guests were welcome to participate in glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, or beach excursions for a portion of the day. Adults were encouraged toward the Sanctuary on the Sun Deck for a more private way to relax away from the teens.

"They think you're a mime?" Fraser asked, unable not to laugh.

"Well, I'm sure the bright red outfit and flirting with the lovely Bea Arthur lookin' ladies doesn't help..."

"Wade, stop that, you're a taken man," he teased.

Wade just preened a bit. "I can hardly help being so sexy."

"Did your flirting have any success?" he asked. "Did any of them supply you with a phone number?"

"I think one of them gave me a room key," Wade said, holding it up. "But I'd need a few more drinks before that."

Fraser raised his eyebrows and had to turn away to prevent himself from laughing. He turned back around and said, "Apparently one of them enjoys mimes."

"Or my sweet ass!"

...

"...can we pretend I didn't say that?"

"Yes," Fraser said hurriedly and shot a look around the deck to see if anyone was in fact glancing at Wade's...rear. "Yes, we can. You're a very expressive mime."

Only one of them was. Damn old people.

"Mimes are just one step away from clowns," Wade informed him. "And clowns are the purest form of all evil."

"Show me how to play this game," Fraser said, deciding to stick around just in case the old people ganged up on poor Wade.

Hells yeah! Wade so won him over with it.

"Like, I said, it's a bit like curling. You want to get the disc dealie over there."

"Can I see a demonstration?" Fraser requested.

Wade rolled his eyes and nudged one of the discs on down along the ground to the end of the little board. "And now you buy a drink. Thems the rules."

"Why?" Fraser asked. "You didn't win or anything like that!"

"Because, like that beanbag game, you need booze for this to be played accurately," Wade replied. "It's in the rule book."

Somewhere. Written in crayon.

"I don't drink." The liar. "So, you'll have to make due with orange juice."

"Of course!" Wade waved for the nice waiters to bring drinks. And both totally virgin. Really. Ignore the winking.

Fraser rolled his eyes and said, "How do you win this game?"

"You run out of disc dealies," Wade replied patiently. "And then you owe the winner extra drinks."

"You're not lying about the rules, are you?"

It was Wade. And Wade liked drinks.

He so, so did.

"Of course not! I would never lie to you about something important."

Fraser fixed him with a look. A long one.

"I think I should step aside in case lighting strikes."

"You're just afraid I'll beat you," Wade insisted. And may have taken a step to the side in case the lighting did happen.

"I am not," he said and went to find a stick...thing. Whatever it was called. "I don't fear friendly competition."
