The Crown Princess - Monday [Cabins and Lido Deck]

It was a beautiful day in the Caribbean! The sun was bright in the cloudless sky, casting no shadows on the open section of the Lido deck: Sunbathers beware. Luckily, the Horizon Court offered umbrellas at some tables for the sun shy.

Near the pools were large lettered signs discouraging guests from diving or jumping into the water due to the lack of depth.

"Hey!" Murdock knelt at the edge of the pool, grinning down at Amber. "Havin' fun yet?"

She made a light play at splashing him. "I will when you get in here so I can splash you!"

"You think so eh?"

Without any warning, he flopped in nearby, attempting to get spray all over her.

She ducked, saving herself from the worst of it. But she came up laughing, running her hands back over her face and hair. Amber's bikini was tiny.

Just saying.

Murdock glanced at her attire, considered saying something about it. But he wasn't her father, after all.

"Ya know, one piece suits are really nice too," he nodded.

Hey, he could still drop a hint though.

She stuck her tongue out at him and adjusted her top. "Pfft. My belly wants to be tan too," she said, grinning.

She might have known he'd take a fatherly role.

"They have tanning booths for that. Nice and cozy, relaxing," not to mention less wandering eyes. "And you don't even have to get wet," he finished with a flourish.

"I love getting wet," she said, laughing. "And look around! I don't see any other girls in one pieces. I hate one pieces."

"Okay, okay, I get the point."

Besides, he certainly didn't mind seeing Abby Irene in a bikini. Or any of the other adult ladies for that matter. It was just that with her...

He smirked, "Just tell me to stop being an overprotective worry wart."

"Actually, I like you being an overprotective worry wart," she said, smiling at him. "I know you care that way. And at least you didn't tell me what ma does. If I take my top off get paid for it first. I kind of like romping around in a bikini."

Sometimes he wonderd about her Ma. Not to mention Loretta. The less said about her the better, oh my god.

Yah, he still wasn't over that.

"I would never tell you that Amber," he assured her with a slight smile. "Ever. And I suppose you're fine in a bikini. Reckon you can make the boys jealous that way."

No kidding!

She snickered. "Please, I don't make any boys jealous, not even Liir."

He just grinned. "I'd bet you'd be surprised. A decent boy don't tell a girl such things directly ya know."

Well...maybe or maybe not. Depended upon the boy in question.

Liir was special. He didn't get things like that.

Amber sighed.

Then she splashed him.

"Hey! That's fightin' dirty!" he protested.

But he grinned right before he sent a wave of water her direction.

"All's fair in love and war!" he hollered before swimming away, tempting her to chase him.

Oh! She did chase him too! That sigh had totally fooled him though so she was proud of that.

She reached out to try and grab a foot.

He let her catch him and turned quickly to try to tug her down under the water.

This was fun! Who cared if he was acting like a kid?

He managed quite easily but she was wiggly and tried to slip free.

It was fun and it was supposed to be! Spring Breaks meant he could act like a kid all he wanted.

"Stop wigglin' you!" he laughed. "Don't ya know you're supposed to be all wet behind the ears?"

Amber laughed. "I can lay no claim to that any longer!"

"Age still outweighs beauty missy!" And he tried to duck her under once more.

He managed but she grabbed his hips on the way down, accidentally grabbing his trunks.

He better let her up!

Boy, he let go in a hurry.

"None of that," he chided her, but he was giggling all the same. "You do fight dirty!"

"Loretta taught me right," she giggled.

He rolled his eyes a bit. "Why does that not surprise me? I still can't believe she attacked me like that. Good grief."
