The Crown Princess - Monday [Cabins and Lido Deck]

It was a beautiful day in the Caribbean! The sun was bright in the cloudless sky, casting no shadows on the open section of the Lido deck: Sunbathers beware. Luckily, the Horizon Court offered umbrellas at some tables for the sun shy.

Near the pools were large lettered signs discouraging guests from diving or jumping into the water due to the lack of depth.

"She'll do anything to get some," she said, grinning.

"And okay... so, you and Abby Irene still going strong, uh? That's pretty cool."

"Oh yah," a wide grin spread across his face. "It's great. I love her."

Ooops, was he supposed to mention that?

"Uhm... well, ya know what I mean." And she could probably tell by that slight flush too.

"Aww, that is so totally awesome, Murdock! I love Liir, you know. Am in love with him. He's great."

"That's great! I'm happy for ya. And he seems like a good guy. You gonna drag him out to Minnesota some day?"

"Ah, I don't know. Don't know if he can handle ma, you know? Or Loretta for that matter. I sure would like to though."

"Oh, but you can stand to expose me to 'em huh?" he teased. "I see how ya are."

"Well you're an adult and not from Oz," she snickered. "You might have a better handle on wild women than Liir."

A beat.

"Ma called the other night when we were in bed together." That might be an overshare.

He started laughing his ass off.

"I'm sorry," he sputtered, "that's not funny."

Beat.

"No, actually, it is. It's hilarious," he laughed again.

Amber turned red and grinned too. "It was terrible! Liir pretended to be a girl so ma would shut up. I ended up hanging up on her."

That just made him laugh more. "Seeeeee? That proves he can handle wild women! The more I hear of him, the more I like him."

"I like him a lot," she giggled. "All of him."

"Well good. I'm happy that you're happy. I'll have to drop in on him sometime while he's at work."

"I won't beat him up either, I swear," he added, grinning and making a 'cross my heart' symbol on his chest.

She pointed her finger at him. "And no cross examining, either! Promise?"

"Okaaaay, I promise."

Besides, he'd already kind of done that to him already. What?

"He does seem like a good guy, though. Seriously. I'm glad for ya, Amber."

"Thanks, Murdock. It's nice that you approve."
