Boston, Massachusetts [Friday night]

It's our last night in Boston, everyone! Go out, eat in restaurants, party at clubs, or put on comfortable sweatpants and participate in a reenactment of the Boston Tea Party, where we'll dump fake tea into Boston Harbor!

...um, no one tell Seivarden.

Jon was still a bit bemused at the intense mythology around this thing, but he could appreciate being mad at monopolies and taxes (if not appropriating other cultures to do it), so he was up for it.

And always for tea and cakes.

Yeah, no, please no one tell Seivarden about this, or, if they did, make sure not to mention Amaya's involvement, because she wouldn't miss this for the world! That was a bold move on the part of the Colonists, and if there was anything to instantly win Amaya over, it was a bold move, especially in the face of kings and what not!

And, hey, at least thanks to Amaya, Seivarden would have at least had a warning that this was, in fact, a thing, right?

Just don't mind her gleefully dumping things and bad mouthing the king all the while.

"Amaya, what are you doing?"

It might be fake tea, but still.

Ahhhhh, zards! Caught TEA handed!

"Erm," said Amaya, mid-way through tossing a crate overboard, and having the decency to look at least a little sheepish about it, then shook her head.

"Best turn away now, Seivarden," she warned her. "This....ain't gonna be pretty."

A pause.

"Revolution rarely is."

"That doesn't mean there is ever a good reason to ruin good tea," Seivarden said, stating the obvious.

Amaya seemed to take a moment to consider this appeal, remembered an incident not too long ago that involved a lot of crying in her hair, and decided, firmly, that she'd earned this moment.

"Agree to disagree," she concluded and tipped the box so that it went tumbling down and splashing into the water.

"Just imagine," she offered helpfully, "it's all actually teabags on its way to the Perk."

Surely, that tea could be deemed terrible enough to be sacrificed for the greater good, right?

Seivarden snorted.

"That's not the point," she said. "But let's, what is it people around here say, 'agree to disagree'."

Anakin just liked throwing things, let's be very honest here, and he was grateful Beaker wasn't here because somehow that kid would've been tarred and feathered and the boat would be sinking.

He was having an excellent time between selfies back to Rory who was telling him what parts were historically inaccurate. (Not much, she had to admit.)

Yes, Seivarden had been warned that this had occurred in the past, but not that people enjoyed repeating it.

"Aatr's tits, are these people insane?!"

Someone walking past gave her an odd look.

"I really hope it's not real tea this time," Seivarden told the person, who hurried off, then she looked around to see if there was anyone here she knew.

"So do you think if they could afford it they would use real tea?" Seivarden said.

Judgementally.

Seivarden looked sincerely confused.

"Who cares about the fish?"

Dwight was of course going to be here for this. And he was going to enjoy every moment of this like the blue-blooded American patriot that he was. Sorry Jon, Irene and other Brits in the group, just give the traitors their moment to savor this one more time.

"Oh well, I mean..." Dwight mumbled, caught a bit off guard at how suddenly Jon seemed to have snuck up on him. He hadn't been that into everything going on.... had he?

"Ya know... history and all that..." he gave Jon a somewhat sheepish grin.

"It is actually quite cathartic, throwing things and not worrying about anything afterwards" Dwight shrugged. "But probably a little of all three if I am honest about it" he added with a smirk.

"Eh it's the principle of the matter" Dwight said simply. "Besides, it's not like its real tea being wasted... though a nice cup of something hot does sound good right about now."

To say that Gladio had been amused in particular by this little section of this American Revolution's history was a little bit of an understatement, so when he heard about this...well...

He wasn't sure anything like this could be used against Nifs, but there was just something pretty damn cathartic about reenacting a protest against an empire simply by throwing things that Gladio was more than happy to embrace. It just felt symbolic, dammit.

Even though Goose did find the history part quite fascinating he also liked the idea of throwing stuff a lot more.

He wouldn't be having the tea or cakes though, he'd had enough sugar to last for a while.
