Well, they were still here on day... something something. Time was hard to figure out without sunlight.

And more people were still arriving, but hopefully people up top were getting close to figuring it out. Especially now that there was some bit of communication between here and here.

But for right now,it was another day of random pirates, random space ships, and starting to think bowling fashion could be the hot new trend. Though that might just be Alexis. Isolation did terrible things to the mind.

Who were bringing a bar! Which might be nice. Maybe? Please keep that Beaker kid away from the axe range, for the love of all that is holy.

Annie was an early arrival today. Or, really, the Devil's Nest was an early arrival today, falling with a loud crash that damaged just a corner of the building (but left that precious axe range intact.)

Annie herself followed, in full Starlight uniform (of course!) and shooting panicked blasts up towards the surface as soon as she came within range of electricity again, until she landed with an, "Oof!"

Well.

In a way, this was what she had wanted for a week, and as soon as she could, she scrambled to her feet to look around at what she'd gotten herself into.

Well, that was definitely A Thing.

"Annie?" Or was he supposed to call her Starlight right now? The costume thing was confusing sometimes.

Well, if they were on a mission or she was doing something important like signing someone's CD single of 'Never Truly Vanish,' then yeah. But Annie was probably fine for these circumstances.

"Danny!" Enjoy that tackle-hug, Danny, because Annie was so relieved to see you. "Oh my God!"

He would never attend one of those signings unless specifically asked, so it was safe.

Danny rushed over to meet her with that hug. "Jesus, you too?"

"I guess," Annie agreed, since, yeah, her too. "We've been so worried."

And yeah, that's when she realized what her impact was going to be as far as the surface went. "Oh, shit, Diego and Steve."

Her disappearance was not going to help those two at all.

Was it bad for Rey to be glad to see a best friend even if it meant that they were now both in a very non-ideal situation?

"Annie!" she called, running over.

"Rey!" Okay, seriously, Annie might actually start crying out of relief? Maybe just a little. Because it was one thing to hear that your best friend who had been missing for a week was fine and psychically talking to her teacher or whatever, but it was another entirely to see her. And to be able to run over and hug her, which Annie was totally doing now. "Oh my God, I've been so worried!"

"I figured!" Rey said, hugging her back tightly. "I'm sorry you're here but I'm glad to see you."

"Everyone up there is losing their fucking minds," Annie assured her, giving Rey a tight (like, super-strength tight, sorry) squeeze for a moment before pulling back to look at her. "Like, me included. Oh my God. None of us could figure out how to get down here and I am so glad to see you."

Even if, yeah. Now she was here, too.

"Yeah, that's the impression I've been getting." And it didn't feel great that this town normally had things figured out in a week and were lost on this one. "We're trying to tunnel up but it's slow."

Oh look, another day in the hole, another building crashing into the hole. At least this one was full of alcohol? That might cheer a few people up.

The realization that even the superheroes were getting eaten by holes would not cheer anyone up though. Probably.

"Stark!" Guess what, Stark, everyone was getting hugs when Annie saw them today, because she had been literally losing sleep over this whole thing for over a damn week. "I'm fine, I just -- oh my God, you have no idea. It's so good to see you all."

"It's good to see you too. Except you're here now. Stuck."

"They're working on it on the surface," Annie assured him with a nod. "I mean, I was too, until -- now. But everyone's working on it. We're calling in every resource we know how to."

Or, well. Now it was a they, not a we. Annie had to shift out of that way of thinking, now that she was stuck, too.

"They've tried some things down here," Stark said, looking up at the damaged portion of the ceiling. "The ships helped. But mostly it's just... waiting."

And trying not to freak out. Mostly that.
