The sun had sunk low behind the horizon and the temperatures had dropped a little, but Keri was lovely even at night. Crickets chirped and the sea washed across the shore, but otherwise this night was quiet. And calming.

Hotel

Hotel Phoenix is still as mellow and beautiful as it was last night, though without the snacks. Venture out for dinner, stay home and cook in your kitchenette, or enjoy the spread.

Rooms

This large apartment complex holds many a 2-3 person, one bedroom studio. Each studio is 280 square feet, a neat bathroom, a small living room with a couch and a nice sitting area outside. There's also a small kitchenette, to make up for the lack of a restaurant next door.

The bedroom holds two single beds or a double depending on what's funniest.

Grounds

There isn't a great deal to do per se, on-site. But the area is beautiful, all hills and olive trees, and the space around the hotel itself might make for a relaxing walk.

Or you could gather up in the common area, sit down on the pillows on the floor, grab a seat at a table. Read something from the hotel's small collection of books or watch television - it's up to you.

Pool & Mezedes

The pool has been closed for business since September, but the day's nice weather has prompted the owner to open it up near the end of the day. A little late, maybe, but to make up for it, he's set out another spread of mezedes for people who don't want to go out for dinner.

So have some Greek snacks, hang out in the pool, enjoy yourself.

Astrid wasn't sure if she really believed in signs and coincidences; she thought of her mother and her tarot and how they seemed to be more about reading the hunger in someone's eyes than the icons on the cards. But her room number had been the same at the hotel as at the school, and now the pool was open, after she'd talk about drifting to Rufus before they'd left.

People took signs out of greater stretches than that.

So Astrid was going to find something to float on and just....drift, fingers lightly dancing on the surface of the water, staring up at the sky, the way pools were meant to be used.

Keri Boardwalk

A narrow street cuts between the restaurants on one side and the marina on the other. The restaurant-side is littered with small tavernas, all offering traditional Greek food in different styles. Are you in the mood for moussaka or mixed grill? Pick a restaurant, have some food.

Or steal into one of the small supermarkets if you'd rather stock up to eat in your apartment.

Fenris had commented to Fjord that everyone seemed to be distracted by the party and now might be an excellent time to go check out the marina and see if they could find any boats that looked lonely.

So there they were, walking oh so casually down the marina.

Fjord was still shaking his head in bemusement as they walked down said marina, looking over the docked boats with a small air of curiosity as they went.

"It's funny," he noted, "everything below the sails on some of these is strange to me."

The vast majority of these weren't wooden boats. That on its own had him eyeing them askance. The fact that Fenris apparently had them boat shopping (He was no pirate! What was he even thinking!) was throwing him for a loop, too. He'd half convinced himself that he was just here to make certain Fenris didn't do anything too crazy, and half convinced himself that they'd just find the owner to one of these strange things and he'd just talk him into letting them borrow it for a short while.

... He did have a proficiency in that area as a character with a sailing background, after all.

"The size is unfamiliar to me. They're all so small," Fenris said with amusement. How would you transport anything on these? Some that were clearly used for fish were of the larger variety, but even those were small enough you couldn't fit horses in the hold. You couldn't carry even one decent troop with any of these.

"Still, they are .. interesting."

"They're largely pleasure craft, here," Fjord replied, amused in turn. "I wouldn't take any of these very far out on the open water. I get the impression that the boats here - they're definitely not what I would consider ships - are for sightseeing tours, at best. Back home something this size might be used to cross a lake, perhaps. Or to transport a crew from ship to shore, if the water's too shallow to bring her in without running her aground."

"Definitely not ships," Fenris agreed, walking along and looking at them.

He found one that was made of wood and stopped to get a better look. It was pretty. It didn't look very efficient, but it was pretty. "Found one made of wood." His voice was amused. He'd like to know what Fjord thought of this design.

That's a houseboat, Fenris. It's supposed to be more 'house' than 'boat'.

"I'd put money on there being high chances someone's sleeping in that one," Fjord chuckled, nodding at it. "Looks like the whole damn thing is living quarters."

A pause.

"I mean, I'd board one, but I sure as hell wouldn't take it out on a choppy day."

"I'm not sure I'd take it out of the nice, shallow marina," Fenris noted with amusement, "It looks like it would just fall over the second a wave hit it."

He shook his head, "Most of the white ones look more.. boatlike. But it is pretty. Also it is wood."

Party by Keri Beach

Keri Beach is long, and while it hasn't been segmented off by hotel or bar, there are patches that belong to individual establishments.

And one of them is having a party tonight: a DJ plays loud dance music, there are blinking lights and happy people, and of course, a fully-stocked bar. Come, dance on the beach, have fun: it's your last night here.

Sabine wouldn't consider herself a party person, but she went to check things and found that she liked the music, and it wouldn't hurt to hang out for a while. She got a (non-alcoholic) drink, and hung out, happy to watch, if not participate.

Because of course Prompto would find the party. And of course he would narrow in on his friends when he saw them there, grinning wide, one hand saluting her in a finger-gun wave, the other wiggling his phone almost threateningly.

"Sweet!" said Prompto, ducking in close to get a shot with the both of them, flashing a peace-sign at the camera as he expertly snapped the picture with his other hand, grinning at the results and showing it to Sabine for her approval before adding it to the file to send Noctis later to make him all jealous and shit. "Pretty good one, huh? Having a good time?"

"Oh, man, this place is great !" Prompto gushed, beaming, because he just had not been able to gush enough so far. "I got to see dolphins yesterday! Dolphins! Have you ever seen dolphines?? And my roommate has a dog . But, hey, if you see Nina, don't tell her you saw me, 'cuz she gave me an assignment and I might have not exactly totally followed through on it. Yet. I will! But I don't want her thinking I'm slacking off."

Okay, now, this was much more up to Rosa's speed, even if she enjoyed parties mostly for the booze, the people watching, and a good dose of schadenfreude.

And, uh...make sure the kids behaved if any of them found their way here, too. Yeah. That was totally, absolutely her number one priority. Yup...

Zoe wasn't a party person, but she also wasn't going anywhere near her room unless she absolutely had to, and this was her first vacation alone in a very long time. So, if nothing else, she was going to enjoy the drink in her hand and watch people dance.

Keri Beach

... or, if you'd rather have some quiet, walk along the shore of the Mediterranean and find a quieter place along Keri's beach. The beach still looks a little rough, at first: there are rocks all along the waterline. But cross the one foot's worth of pebbles and stones and you'll suddenly find nothing but sand and shallow water for a long stretch. In fact, you'd have to walk almost a hundred feet to find water that came any higher than your hips.
